They cannot be seen by naked eyes. In fact they are not the ordinary nerves, arteries and veins. There are 72,000 Naadee in our body. This number indicates a large but not infinite of number of channels of bio-energy. They are the pathways of Praan Shakti. Among them three are important. They are Idaa, Pingalaa and Sushumnaa. Among these three, the Sushumna Naadee is the most important one, because Kundalinee passes through this Naadee only. The first step in Kundalinee Yog is the purification of Naadee. When Sushumnaa is pure then only Kundalini will pass through it. Purification of Naadee is done by the practice of Praanaayaam. (2) Physical nerves through which our blood flows in our body. (3) Pulse. The movement of blood in our body which may be checked at several places in our body. The most common one is on our wrist towards inside the arm, near hand joint, others are at the back of the ear and neck etc. (4) Naadee is the 150th part of the Ascendant in a birth chart based on the sidereal zodiac. Such a birth chart is called Raashi Chart. It is impossible to cast accurate charts without knowing which Naadee is ruling a person or time. Each Naadee has an aspect of the Devee ruling it and a solar and lunar part, that is why there are 3,600 Naadee in the zodiac.
