The Vedaang are Shikshaa (science of proper articulation), Kalp (ceremonial), Vyaakaran (linguistic analysis or grammar), Nirukt (explanation of difficult Vaidik words) Jyotish (astronomy) and Chhand (Meter). These are regarded as auxiliary too and in some sense as part of the Ved. (2) Das MahaaVidyaa. (3) Vidyaa is the feminine Mantra, the sex of Mantra changing
with that of its presiding Devtaa. OR (4) Four Ved, Ved's six parts, Meemaansaa, Nyaaya Shaastra, Puraan
and Dharm Shaastra - these are 14 Vidyaa (branches of knowledge). The rest is called Vigyaan.
