Digpaal or Dikpaal

Lord of direction. There are 10 Dikpaal for 10 directions, from East to North-East -

Indra is of thousand eyes, of a yellow color, dressed in yellow silk garments and holding the thunder in his hand, is seated on Airaavat.
The body of Agni is of red hue. He is seated on a goat, he has his Shakti in his hand.
Yam is black, holding a staff, and seated on a Bison.
Nairriti is of dark green color *Shyaamal, holding a sword in his hand, and is seated on a horse.
Varun is white and is seated on an alligator, holding a noose in his hand
Vaayu is black in color, seated on a deer and holding a hook in his hand.
Kuber is of golden color and is seated on a jeweled lion-seat (throne), holding the noose and hook in his hands, surrounded by Yaksh.
Eeshaan is seated on his bull, holding the trident in one hand and the other hand as bestowing blessings, dressed in raiment of tiger skin. His effulgence is like Full Moon.
Brahmaa is of red lotus color, having four hand, four faces, is seated on a swan. His two hands dispels fear and grant boons, and in others he holds a rosary and a book.
Anant is white as the snow, or Kund flower, or the Moon, has thousand hands, thousand faces and is meditated by Sur and Asur.

Eight Dikpaal of Ayodhyaa City
Kumud, Kumudaaksh, Pundareek, Vaaman, Shankukarn, Sarvnidra, Sumukh, Supratishthit - these are the Dikpaal of Ayodhyaa city which is in Param Dhaam.
