Shaalgraam has been praised a lot in our scriptures. Some of the quotes
are given here---
Lord Shiv states, "My devotees who offer obeisance to the Shaalgraam
even negligently become fearless. Those who adore me while making a
distinction between myself and Lord Hari will become free from this
offence by offering obeisance to Shaalgraam. Those who think themselves
as my devotees, but who are proud and do not offer obeisance to my Lord
Vaasudev, are actually sinful and not my devotees. O my son, I always
reside in the Shaalgraam. Being pleased with my devotion the Lord has
given me a residence in His personal abode. Giving a Shaalgraam, is the
best form of charity, being equal to the result of donating the entire
earth together with its forests, mountains, and all."
"In Poojaa of Shaalgraam, it is unnecessary to call the Lord for worship or
request Him to return His abode upon completion."

Naaraayan said - "O Brahmaa, If someone makes an offering of food grains
in front of Shaalgraam Shilaa (who is non-different from Me), I just by
looking at it eat it, but I taste the food when My devotees touch it
with their tongues (eat it).

Lord Vishnu states that, "Any Shilaa from the place of Shaalgraam can
never be inauspicious though cracked, chipped, split in two though still
in one piece, or even broken asunder."
"As
long as Mahaa Vishnu abides in the Shaaligraam, all the benevolent
spirits live there, all gods and all the 14 worlds live there.
Shaalgraam lose their power only when 10,000 years of kali Yug have
passed."
-- Brahm Vaivart Puraan, Pakriti Khand

observances, auspicious gifts, Nitya Poojaa, obsequies of the last rites
(Shraaddh) ceremonies in the presence of Shaalgraam is very meritorious.
-- Brahm Vaivart Puraan, Prakrirti Khnad
Naarad Muni states, "It is impossible to fully explain the importance of
Tulasee leaves (Holy Basil) in the worship of Shaalgraam, as Tulasee is the most
beloved consort of Hari in the form of Shaalgraam."
