Kans Sends Akroor to Mathuraa Contd... from Previous Page Contd... on Next Page Mahaadev Jee said - "Hey Paarvatee, One day Naarad Jee went to Mathuraa to Kans. Kans welcomed him and made him seated on a comfortable Aasan. Naarad Jee told him everything Prithvi's going to Vishnu, Keshav's incarnation, Vasudev's carrying his son to Brij, killing of Raakshas, lifting of Govardhan etc. After having said all this he went back to Brahm Lok. Now Kans got very perplexed, how to escape death - this was the only thought in his mind. Then he called Akroor Jee, because he was the wisest Minister among his Ministers. He said to him - "Indra etc all Devtaa went to Vishnu because of my fear. So Vishnu has taken birth from Devakee to kill me. And Vasudev is such a wicked person that he put Him into Nand's house. That child is so cunning that many mighty Asur had been killed by His hand. If this will continue, one day He will kill me also. There is no doubt that nobody has killed Him here in Brij, that is why you bring Him here somehow and kill Him with some special method. He should be killed by some intoxicated elephants, mighty wrestlers and good horses He can be killed here only, not anywhere else. Therefore you go and bring Him, Balaraam, Nand etc Gop here to see Dhanush Yagya." So Akroor Jee went to Brij and had Darshan of Bhagavaan. Then he saw Balaraam also. He greeted both of them. Krishn and Balaraam brought him home and Nand Jee also welcomed him. He worshipped him and Akroor Jee presented them clothes and ornaments. Akror Jee said to Nand Jee - "He is Naaraayan in person. He has incarnated on Prithvi to kill Asur. Devtaa and Muni had prayed Him to do this that is why He has incarnated here. At that time Vasudev Jee brought Him here because of fear of Kans At the same time Yashodaa also gave birth to a girl. She put the whole Brij in an unconscious state. Vasudev left his son here and took that girl to Mathuraa. He put that girl on Devakee's bed and came out of her room. The girls started crying. Hearing crying the guards informed Kans and Kans hit her on the stone. But she flew in the sky and said - "Your killer has already born in Brij." Since then Kans was very worried, so he sent many Raakshas to kill that child, but Krishn killed all them in a playful mood. Naarad Jee also came to him and told him everything. Since then he is very fearful and now wants to kill them in Mathuraa. He wants to crush them under elephants' feet, or in wrestling. He has sent me here to take them there only for this reason. Tomorrow all, Krishn, Balaraam, other Gop and you, have to come with me to Mathuraa. There he will surely be killed by Krishn's hands, so come there without any fear." Hearing Akroor Jee everybody standing there stood quiet. Then Krishn Himself said - "Do not fear for anything. I will surely come with you to Mathuraa and protect Prithvi by killing all Raakshas." After this Yashodaa offered food to Akroor Jee. In the evening, after Sandhyaa and having food, Akroor Jee went to sleep with Krishn. He considered himself very blessed so he started massaging Krishn's feet. Thus serving Bhagavaan Akroor's night passed within a moment. Next day morning Yashodaa was very sad, but Akroor Jee assured her that her sons were very mighty and would surely be the King of Mathuraa. And Akroor Jee set off to Mathuraa with Krishn, Balaraam, Nand Jee and others. Gop women also followed them, but Hari sent them back politely. On the way when the reached at Yamunaa's bank, Akroor Jee stopped for taking bath and Sandhyaa etc. As Akroor Jee took a dip in Yamunaa water and started Jap of Aghmarshan Mantra, he saw both Ram and Balaraam inside the water. He took out his head and looked at the chariot, because he left them there, and they were there. He thought that his eyes were not seeing things correctly, so he dipped again in water, but again he saw both of them inside the water. He saw Hari with Lakshmee sitting on Shesh Jee. Sanakaadi Muni were praying Him and all Devtaa were standing in His service. Akroor himself prayed Him and blessing himself came to the chariot. He greeted them with a surprise look on his face. Seeing him like this Krishn asked him - "Tell us Akroor Jee, What wonderful thing did you see in the water?" Akroor Jee said - "Prabho, You are omnipresent. What else can be more wonderful than your glory? This whole Universe is your form." And all of them came to Mathuraa Nagaree. Krishn Kills Kans In the evening both brothers went to see Mathuraa Nagaree. They were going on the royal highway that they saw a man who dyed clothes. He was going towards royal palace. Krishn asked him some clothes for himself, but he did not give clothes to Him; rather said some harsh words to them. At this Krishn slapped him on his cheek. He died vomiting blood. Krishn and Balaraam and their friends wore those clothes and went to the house of gardener. As he saw them, he greeted them and worshipped them with Divine fragrant flowers. They came out again in the market. Then they saw a beautiful woman coming carrying a pot of sandal paste. She was Kubjaa. They asked some sandal paste from her. She gave them the paste and they applied it on their bodies and proceeded on their way after giving her beauty. City women were looking at them all the way. Now they came to Yagyashaalaa where the Divine bow was kept. Krishn picked that bow and broke it in a moment. Kans also heard the sound of breaking the bow. He got worried so he called his wrestlers - Chaanoor etc and said to them - "See, The killer of all Raakshas Balaraam and Krishn have arrived here. You must kill them tomorrow morning in wrestling or by intoxicated elephants, or by any other method." He has appointed many intoxicated elephants on the whole royal highway and gates and wrestlers. Krishn and Balaraam passed that night in the Yagyashaalaa and came out of that in the morning. The most dangerous elephant Kuvalayaapeed was standing at the gate of the royal palace. Krishn started revolving its trunk in a playful mood, but soon He lifted him in the air and hit him on the ground. He died crying loudly. Then they took out his both tusks and came to Rangbhoomi for the contest of wrestling. There they saw two wrestlers - Chaanoor and Mushtik. As Kans saw Krishn and Balaraam, he said to his wrestlers - "You kill them, I will give you my half kingdom." At that time, those wrestlers saw Krishn huge and covered with the armor which could not be pierced; Kans saw Him as if He was a Pralaya time fire; women saw Him as if He was Kaam Dev in person; parents saw Him as if He was an infant; Devtaa saw Him as Hari; and for Gwaal Baal (herdsmen's children), He was their friend. Thus people present there saw Vishnu in many forms according to their feelings. [Compare here Tulasee's Chaupaayee from Maanas - "Jaakee Rahee Bhaavanaa Jaisee, Prabhu Moorat Tin Dekhee Taisee"] At that time Nand, Vasudev, Akroor were sitting at one place to see this fight, and Devakee was sitting at other place and looking at her son's face. Women consoled her a lot, but still she could not console her heart so she went in some other room. Krishn and Balaraam fought with Chaanoor and Mushtik respectively and killed them after a while. Seeing this Kans was greatly frightened. Krishn and Balaraam climbed up the Kans' palace and felled him from there. Kans died immediately. Braahman did his last rites. Balaraam killed Kans' brother Sunaamaa also. Krishn and Balaraam came to their parents after killing Kans. Devtaa showered flowers on them. Krishn gave Nand and others many gems and clothes. Then Krishn and Balaraam freed their maternal grandfather Ugrasen and appointed him the King of Mathuraa. Thus He started ruling Mathuraa." Contd... from Previous Page Contd... on Next Page
