Glory of Geetaa's Chapter 3 Bhagavaan said - "There lived a Braahman named Jad in Janasthaan. He was born in Kaushik Vansh. He abandoned his own Dharm (Braahman Dharm) and adopted Vaishya Vritti. Then he developed the bad habit to play with other women. He used to gamble, drink liquor, and hunt for wild animals. After he had spent his all money, he went far for trading. There he earned a lot of money and returned to his home. When he was coming home, in the evening when he was taking rest under a tree, some robbers came and killed him. His Dharm was finished, so he became a Pret. His son was a very religious and a learned man. He waited for his father to return, but when he didn't come back, he went around in search of his father. He asked several travelers about him, but could not get any information about him. One day he met a man who knew his father. He told him everything abut his father. Knowing about his father the son got very sad, but he was very intelligent. After a considerable thought he collected the materials to perform his last rites and went to Kaashee. On the way, the 9th day, he stayed under the same tree under which his father was killed. He grieved for his father for some time, then he read Geetaa's 3rd chapter. At the same time a great noise came from the sky and he saw his father in a very terrible form. Immediately after this he saw a beautiful Vimaan which was adorned with little bells and lots of rays were coming out from it. Then he saw his father in Divine form sitting on that Vimaan and Muni praying to him. He greeted him and his father blessed him. Later he asked his father the whole thing and his father told him everything, then his father said - "Son, You have freed me from those bad Karm by reading this Geetaa's 3rd chapter near me. Now you may go back to your house, because for whatever purpose you were going to Kaashee, that is already served." The son said - "Discourse me something and tell me any other thing if I have to do it for you." The father said - "Son, Do this again, because whatever I have been doing, my brother has also done the same. He is suffering in Hell, free him also. There are some other people of my family who are suffering in Hell, they should also be free from there, this is my desire." The son said - "I will surely fulfill your desire. I will uplift all the people from the Hell." Hearing this his father went away. He also came back home and started reading Geetaa's 3rd chapter sitting in a Krishn temple. After that he gave all that Punya to those people. In the meantime, Vishnu's messengers went to Yam Raaj to get those sinners released from the Hell. Yam Raaj had to release them. Then Yam Raaj went to Vishnu and prayed Him. He said - "Prabho, By your order I have released these sinners, now tell me what should I do?" Vishnu said - "You are doing great, now you may go back to your Lok." So Yam Raaj Jee came back to his home - Hell. Glory of Geetaa's Chapter 4 Bhagavaan said - "Priya, Now I tell you the glory of Geetaa's 4th chapter. There is a city named Vaaranasee on the banks of Gangaa River. There lived a Yogee Braahman Bharat who used to Read the 4th chapter of Geetaa daily. By doing this his mind became cleansed and pure. Once he went out on a tour with the desire to see Devtaa. There were two trees of Ber (Indian gooseberries) outside the city. He lay down under those trees to take rest. His head was kept on the roots of one tree and his feet were kept on the roots of another tree. After taking rest he went on his way. Within 5-6 days both those trees got dried and both were born in some Braahman's house as his two daughters. When they got about 7 years old, they saw Bharat Muni coming. They immediately fell on their feet and said to him - "By your grace only we are freed from the tree Yoni and now have been born in human Yoni." Muni got surprised to hear this, he asked - "Daughters, When did I do it, tell me this, and tell me this also that why did you get that Ber tree Yoni, because I do not know anything about it." Those girls said - "There is a Chhinnpaap named Teerth on the banks of Godaavare. A Tapaswee whose name was Satyatapaa was doing Tapasyaa there. He sat amidst burning fire in summer, under the sky in rainy season and in the water in winter season. When he discoursed, even Brahmaa Jee also came to listen to it. He was not shy in front of Brahmaa Jee now. His Tapasyaa got increased day by day, seeing this Indra feared so he presented many obstacles in his Tapasyaa. He called Apsaraa and asked them to create obstacles in his Tapasyaa. So we both went to create obstacles in his Tapasyaa. We started singing, playing musical instruments and dancing near his Aashram. Although our actions were to arouse his love feelings but they aroused his anger and in anger he cursed us to be Ber trees on Gangaa's banks. We asked his forgiveness, and pleased from us he said - "This curse will be on you till Bharat Muni comes to you, after that you both will take birth in Manushya Lok and you will remember your previous life. So when we were in Ber Vriksh Yoni, you read Geetaa's 4th chapter and freed us from that Yoni." After this Muni went away and these girls also started reading Geetaa's 4th chapter. Glory of Geetaa's Chapter 5 Bhagavaan Said - "Devee, Now you listen to Geetaa's 5th chapter's glory. There is a city named Purukutspur in Madra Desh. There lived a Braahman named Pingal. He was born in a very good and noble family, but he abandoned his own profession and adopted a dancing and singing profession. He earned very good skills in this profession, and that is why he could enter the palace also. Now he lived with the King and used to enjoy with other women. He did not like any other place. Gradually he got very proud so he started telling faults of the King to others. Pingal had a woman whose name was Arunaa. She was born in a low family and used to wander in search of other men. One day she killed her husband by cutting his neck considering him an obstacle in her way and buried his body in the ground. After the death, that sinner fell into several Narak and then was born as a vulture in a forest. Arunaa also died with a bad disease and was born as a she-parrot in the same forest. One day she was looking for her food here and there, that the vulture tore her apart remembering his previous life's enmity with her. The she-parrot got wounded and fell in a human skull filled with water. The vulture again flew towards her, that a hunter aimed her of his arrow. The she-parrot died, and the vulture also died by drowning in the water. Yam Raaj's messengers took both of them to Yam Lok. Both were frightened remembering their bad Karm, but later they came to know that their sins were washed away by falling in the water filled skull. So they both got permission to go to their desired Lok. Knowing this they became very surprised, they greeted Yam Raaj and asked him - "We are a great sinners, then why are we going to our desired Lok?" Yam Raaj said - "There lived a Vat named Brahm Gyaanee on the banks of Gangaa River. He used to read Geetaa's 5th chapter everyday. Whoever hears this chapter, even a great sinner can obtain Brahm Gyaan. After some time he died. His body became very clean because of reading that. That skull was of the same Yogee in which you both fell. So you also became holy because of the glory of Geetaa's 5th chapter." Bhagavaan said - "Thus explained by Yam Raaj, both became very pleased and went to Vaikunth Dhaam."
