Raajya

Kingdom.
The extension of the boundary of a geographical area which has one ruler.

Seven Parts of a Raajya
There are seven Ang (parts or limbs) of a kingdom - (1) Raajaa (king),  (2) Mantree (minister), (3) Durg (fort),  (4) Kosh (treasure),  (5) Dand (punishment), (6) Mitra (friend), and (7) Janapad (divisions of a kingdom). Who tries to create obstacles in a kingdom whose these seven parts are strengthened, he should be considered as enemy and should be destroyed.

In Brahmaand Puraan, Krishn  gives the names of the seven Ang of the Raajya as - (1) Mantree (ministers), (2) Kosh (treasury), (3) Senaa (military forces), (4) Mitra (his allies), (5) the Braahman, (6) Yagya or religious activities (sacrificial offerings performed), and (7) Janapad (the needs of his subjects) while telling a story to Yudhishthir in relation to Mokshdaa Ekaadashee.
