Here are given the
stories of some important Avataar (incarnations) of various gods.

Many names which appear while reading scriptures, are
given here with brief description for ready reference purpose. Some of them have
detailed description which are given under
Biographies. There are some
other names also which are also of some importance they are given under
Sketches
also.

Genealogies |
Here are given the main
genealogies of Soorya Vansh, Chandra Vansh, Ikshwaaku Vansh etc as given in
various Puraan. They have been brought here in condensed form to understand
them easily with some extra notes for their easy identification.

Sketches |
Brief description about
2,000 names has been given in the Names
section above. This section has been created for the elaborated description
about the characters. Names are arranged in alphabetical order. These names
may or may not appear anywhere in any religious book. The list consists of
normally - names, parentage, wife, children, maybe brothers and sisters,
and any other important worth to know information about the person. One may find some contradictory information at some places because of collecting
it from different sources. Wherever it is possible the source is given, but
sometimes it is not possible, because these are not review articles and it is
not possible to give all references for all tiny bits of information. I apologize
for that.

have also been described.
