Avataar Here are given the stories of some important Avataar (incarnations) of various gods.
 
Names Many names which appear while reading scriptures, are given here with brief description for ready reference purpose. Some of them have detailed description which are given under Biographies. There are some other names also which are also of some importance they are given under Sketches  also.
 
Genealogies Here are given the main genealogies of Soorya Vansh, Chandra Vansh, Ikshwaaku Vansh etc as given in various Puraan. They have been brought here in condensed form to understand them easily with some extra notes for their easy identification.
 
Sketches Brief description about 2,000 names has been given in the Names section above. This section has been created for the elaborated description about the characters. Names are arranged in alphabetical order. These names may or may not appear anywhere in any religious book. The list consists of normally - names, parentage, wife, children, maybe brothers and sisters, and any other important worth to know information about the person. One may find some contradictory information at some places because of collecting it from different sources. Wherever it is possible the source is given, but sometimes it is not possible, because these are not review articles and it is not possible to give all references for all tiny bits of information. I apologize for that.

These sketches contain the names of
Historical people,  
Religious saints, some
Foreign characters and some other important names.
 

Locations Names of many places, rivers, and mountains are given here with their references.
 
History This section gives lots of background information and many historical facts about India since ancient times, Bauddh Dharm, Jain Dharm, Islaam, Sikh, British staff etc
 
Literature This section provides with a bird's eye view of India's Hindi, Sanskrit, plus a little bit (selected) English and Foreign literature. Some great authors and some great books have also been described.
 
Do You Know This section gives many interesting information written in and about our scriptures and culture and history.

Although this book is written scientifically, still wherever the ancient dates are given, they create doubts in one's mind, as they do not match our religious Time Division of Yug etc.
