(1) Test.
(2) To judge something against something.

Something can be tested in five ways -

(1) Whatever is according to the characteristics, Karm (actions), Swabhaav (nature) of Eeshwar and Ved - that is correct, other than that is false or wrong.

(2) Whatever is according to the rules of nature that is correct, other than that is false or wrong. For example if somebody says that "The Sun rises in west.". It is wrong or incorrect as it is not according to the rule of the nature.

(3) Aapt - Whatever is according to the words of religious leaders, wise, learned, and truth speakers, is correct, other than that is false or wrong.

(4) Conscious - whatever is according to your own conscious, education and knowledge, feel is correct, other than that is false or wrong. For example if one feels that this will hurt me, then he should think in the same way for others also.

(5) 8 Pramaan - Whatever is true according to 8 Pramaan is true, other than that is false or wrong. The 8 Pramaan are - Pratyaksh, Anumaan, Upamaan, Shabd, Etihya, Arthaapatti, Sambhav and Abhaav
