Havan or Hom for Nava Graha; Description of Various Dharm; Varn Aashram Dharm; Sanskaar; Yagya for Graha Shaanti.

Havan for Nava Graha

Pushkar said - "Parashuraam Jee, Who desire for Lakshmee (wealth), Shaanti (peace), Pushti (health), Vriddhi (growth) and long life, they should worship Nava Graha - Soorya (Sun), Som (Moon), Mangal (Mars), Budh (Mercury), Guru (Jupiter), Shukra (Venus), Shani (Saturn), Raahu and Ketu. Idols of all Graha should be established. Soorya's idol should be of copper; Som's idol should be of silver or crystal; Mangal's idol should be of red sandal; Budh's idol should be of gold; Guru's idol should be of gold; Shukra's idol should be of silver; Shani's idol should be of iron; and Raahu and Ketu's idols' should be of Seesaa. If one cannot get these idols, then he should draw their pictures on a cloth according to their colors; or he can draw their pictures from incense or Kumkum etc in a Mandal. He should offer them the cloth and flowers according to their color.

One should establish Agni for all and do Havan for them with Charu and Mantra. Their Mantra are like this --
Aakrishnen Rajasaa.......................... (Yajur Ved, 33/43) for Soorya Dev
Imam Devaah.................................. (Yajur Ved, 9/40, 10/18) for Chandra Dev
Agnimoordhaa Divah Kakut...............  (Yajur Ved, 13/14) for Mangal Dev
Udbudhya Swa.................................  (Yajur Ved, 15/54; 18/61) for Budh Dev
Brihaspatey Adit Yadiryah................. (Yajur Ved, 26/3) for Guru Dev
Annaatparishruto.............................. (Yajur Ved, 19/75) for Shukra Dev
Shanno Devee..................................  (Yajur Ved, 36/12) for Shani Dev
Kaandaat.........................................  (Yajur Ved, 13/20) for Raahu
Ketum Krinwann Ketavey................... (Yajur Ved, 29/37) for Ketu Dev

Aak, Palaash, Khair, Apaamaarg, Peepal, Goolar, Shamee, Doorvaa, and Kushaa are the Samidhaa (wood for Havan) for all Graha respectively.
One should offer 28 or 108 Aahuti for each Devtaa of honey, or Ghee, or yogurt, or Kheer.
Give food of rice with jaggery, Kheer, Havishya, Saathee rice Kheer, yogurt mixed rice, Ghee mixed rice, sesame seed powder mixed rice, whole Urad mixed rice, Khichadee to Braahman respectively for each Graha.

Whichever Graha is situated in bad Houses, such as 8th House etc, he should worship that Graha specifically. Brahmaa Jee has bestowed them power to fulfill their wishes who worshipped them. Thus Graha are worthy for worshipping for everybody."

Description of Various Dharm

Agni Dev said - "Whatever things are donated for the sake of Shraadh, they should be given to Braahman only - such as, yogurt, Ghee, milk etc. Do not feed him lentils, or eggplant or barley. Any kind of Daan, Shraaddh, Vrat etc are considered auspicious and eternal during the hours of Solar eclipse, because at that time "Hastichchhayaa Yog" falls. When Moon is in Maghaa or Hast Nakshatra; it is called Vaivaswatee Tithi. This is also Hastichchhaayaa Yog and all Daan, Shraaddh and Dharm Karm done at this time are auspicious and eternal.

A Braahman is never attached to sin by doing Ved prescribed Karm, and a woman is never attached to sin by coming into contact with a Vyabhichaaree (men who go to many women or a womanizer) man. If a woman has been raped, or is spoiled by falling in the hands of an enemy, she should be abandoned till her next menstrual period. A woman is clean after her menstrual period.

Some people consider enjoying subjects of Indriyaan by their Indriyaan - those fools have adopted A-Dharm considering it as Dharm; while others consider the union of mind and Aatmaa. But in reality, the best Yog is to avoid subjects of Indriyaan and unite the mind with Kshetragya (Param-Aatmaa).

Five Indriyaan families make a village, and the sixth Mind is their Leader. He cannot be won by Devtaa, Asur or human beings. Our five Indriyaan are extrovert, make them introvert, control them by mind and then unite the mind with Aatmaa; then be empty with all kinds of feelings and unite the Aatmaa with Param-Aatmaa - this is the Gyaan (knowledge) and this is the Dhyaan (meditation). Whatever else is said anywhere else is only the extension of this fact. As a maiden cannot realize the pleasure of sex without experiencing it herself, in the same way a man without Yog cannot get the pleasure of attaining Brahm unless he experiences himself. Brahm can be experienced.

When Soorya sees a Braahman taking Sanyaas, he is shaken thinking that this Braahman will pierce my Mandal (region) and will attain Par-Brahm. Fasting, Vrat, Snaan, Teerth and tap - all give fruit, but they are completed by a Braahman and give fruits to people.

"Pranav" (Aum) is Par-Brahm Param-Aatmaa; Praanaayaam is the only Tap; and there is no Mantra greater than Saavitree (Gaayatree) Mantra.

Before Som, Gandharv and Agni - these three Devtaa used to enjoy women. Later human beings started enjoying them. Women do not get attached to sin by this. If any other Varn man impregnates a woman, the woman is A-Shauch (unclean) till she sees her first menstruation after the delivery of the child.

There is nothing greater than the meditation of Shree Hari, it cleanses even the greatest sinner. Who eats food in a Chaandaal's house, he also gets clean after meditating on Hari. Whoever Dwij first adopts Dharm, then falls from it, I see no Praayshchit for him so that he can be purified. Who abandon their wife and sons in their unbearable situation, there is no means of purification for them for hundreds of years.

Varn Aashram Dharm

Pushkar said - "Now I tell yoy about Shraut and Smaart Dharm. This is of 5 types - whatever Dharm Karm is done on the basis of Varn, that is called "Varn Dharm"; for example Upanayan Sanskaar is obligatory for Braahman, Kshatriya and Vaishya - thus this is called Varn Dharm. Whatever Dharm Karm is done on the basis of Aashram, that is called Aashram Dharm; such as observing Brahmcharya is the Dharm of Brahmcharya Aashram. Dharm Karm related to Brahmcharya, Grihasth, Vaanprasth and Sanyaas are called Aashram Dharm."

Sanskaar

There are following 48 Sanskaars, whose all Sanskaars are performed, he attains Brahm Lok - (1) Garbhaadhaan, (2) Punsavan, (3) Seemantonnayan, (4) Jaatkarm, (5) Naamkarn, (6) Annpraashan, (7) Choodaakarm, (8) Upanayan, (9-12) Four Vedvrat, (13) Samaavartan - Snaan, (14) Vivaah - marriage, (15-19) Panch Yagya - Dev Yagya, Pitra Yagya, Manushya Yagya, Bhoot Yagya, Pitra Yagya, (20-26) 7 Paak Yagya - Sansthaa, (27-34) Ashtakaa - three Paarvan Shraaddh with Ashtakaa, Shraavanee, Aagrahaayanee, Chaitree, and Aashwayujee, (34-41) Seven Haviryagya Sansthaa - Aanyaadheya, Agnihotra, Darsh-Paurnmaas, Chaaturmaasya, Aagrahaayaneshti, Niroodh Pashubandh, and Sautraamani, (42-48) Seven Som Sansthaa - Agnishtom, Antyagnishtom, Ukthya, Shodashee, Vaajpeya, Atiraatra, and Aaptoryaam.

There are 8 Aatm Gun - (1) Dayaa, (2) Kshamaa, (3) Anasooyaa, (4) Anaayaas, (5) Maangalya, (6) Akaarpanya, (7) A-Sprahaa, and (8) Shauch. Who has all these Gun (qualities or characteristics) he goes to Swarg.

One should be silent at the time of - (1) going on the road, (2) doing sex, (3) excreting, (4) brushing teeth, (5) taking bath, and 6) eating food.

One should leave the following 7 things - (1) re-donating the thing one has already donated, (2) Prithakpaak, (3) drinking water with Ghee, (4) drinking water with milk, (5) drinking water in the night, (6) biting nails, and (7) drinking very hot water.

One should not pluck flowers for worshipping after taking bath, because these flowers are not good to offer Bhagavaan.

If one performs the last rites of anybody who is not of his family, he should complete 10 days of A-Shauch and other rites also.

If water, or straw, or ash, or door or path are in between, then there is no Pankti Dosh."

Graha Yagya (Havan for Graha)

Agni Dev said - "Hey Vashishth Jee, Now I tell you again about Havan for Grahas for peace, prosperity and victory etc. Graha Yagya is of 3 types - Ayut-Homaatmak, Laksh-Homaatmak and Koti-Homaatmak. One should invoke Grahas from the Agni Kund - Guru in North, Budh in North-east, Shukra in East, Som in South-east, Mangal in South, Soorya in the center, Raahu in South-west, Shani in West, and Ketu in North-west.

Shiv, Paarvatee, Kaaritikeya, Vishnu, Brahmaa, Indra, Yam, Kaal and Chitragupt are called Adhi Devtaa. Agni, Varun, Bhoomi, Vishnu, Indra, Shachee, Prajaapati, Sarp and Brahmaa - they are Pratyadhi Devtaa respectively. [In Vishnu Dharmottar Puraan, Shiv etc are considered Pratyadhi Devtaa, and Agni etc Adhi Devtaa. And Agni Dev is replaced by Arun.] Ganesh, Durgaa, Vaayu, Aakaash, and Ashwinee Kumaar are Karm Saadgunya Devtaa - one should worship them with Vaidik Beej Mantra. Use Aak, Palaash, Khadir, Apaamaarg, Peepal, Goolar, Shamee, Doorvaa and Kushaa woods for doing Havan for Nav Graha respectively. One should Aahuti by dipping them in honey or Ghee or yogurt in numbers multiplied by 100, eight times.

Ayut Homaatmak Yagya with Dakshinaa gives victory in a war. It is used in Vivaah, celebrations, Yagya and Pratishthaa (establishment) etc occasions. Both Laksh and Koti Homaatmak Yagya fulfill all kinds of wishes. In Laksh Homaatmak Yagya everything is 10 times more than Ayut Homaatmak Ygya. Laksh Homaatmak Yagya with Dakshinaa is done to get sons, food, kingdom, victory, pleasure and Mokash. Koti Homaatmak Yagya is done to attain the above said things along with destroying the enemy. Whoever does Koti Homaatamak Yagya he attains Vishnu Lok after fulfilling all his desires.

Havan should be done with Graha Mantra, Vaishnav Mantra, Gaayatree Mantra, Aagneya Mantra, Shaiv Mantra and chief Vaidik Mantras.
