Swa

(1) Swa means "very own".   (2) It works as a prefix also, such as A, Nir, Sa etc to show the ownership of one's own. Some words with this prefix are given here -

Swa-Dharm - Our own Dharm (duties)

Swa-Gotra - whose Gotra (caste and sub-caste) is like one's own

Swa-Prakaashit - Self manifest, self luster. Normally used for God as He does not depend on anything else for His manifestation, such as the Sun, Moon or other energy depend.

Swa-Rakshaa - Self protection

Swa-Roop - form of oneself

Swaabhimaan - Swa + Abhimaan. Self ego
