Manvantar
Manvantar is a period of a little more than 71 Chatur-Yug time period.
In 1,000 Chatur-Yug period, that is one Kalp, there are 14 Manvantar,
14 Manu, 14 Indra and 14 Sapt Rishi. In every Kalp these Manvantar run
like this in the same order. All the Manu die at the end of the Kalp and
attain Saayujya of Brahmaa or Vishnu etc Devtaa. Different names are given
in different sources - see the list from some of the sources
here.
[2Padm Puraan, 1-Srishti-8]
Padm Puraan says that there are 14 Manvantar in one Kalp. (One Kalp is
1,000 Mahaayug or Chatur-Yug and is Brahmaa's one day). All the 14 Manu
create the world in their own Manvantar, then get destroyed along with
Brahmaa at the end of the Kalp.
In Swaayambhuv Manvantar, the 1st one, Bhagavaan took Yagya Purush Avataar.
In the end of Chaakshush Manvantar, the 6th one, Bhagavaan took Matsya Avataar
