Dates of MBH Events-3
I found this chronology by Prafulla Vaman Mendki in "Maabharata Study" Group, 1/19/2011, See it for yourself, how far it is close to truth and how much can it be relied upon?

** Karn was killed the third day of Drone Vadh, then how come that there is 4 days difference - it should be on 7th Oct.
In the same way, Shalya was killed the next day of Karn, then why the difference of 2 days? It should be 10th Oct.

*** It means that Pareekshit sat on the throne after 60 years of Paandav's Swargaarohan? But MBH, Mahaaprasthaan Parv says that Yudhishhir appointed Kripaa as the Guru of Pareekshit and then left. So did Pareekshit take 60 years to be educated?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On the day of Krishn's ascension, the Kali Yug started as mentioned in the Bhaagvat Puraan. That day there was conjunction of all the stars, in and around the Revatee Nakshatra. Very sorry to say that you worked very hard yet you got the date of Lord Krishna wrong. Lord Krishna ascended on 17 / 18 February in 3102 BCE.

I am quoting below an excerpt from my #11141 in IA forum, which proves conclusively that leave alone the conjunction of all the "stars" (planets) in and around the Revatee Nakshatra, there was no conjunction of even two "stars" (planets?) on that date (Feb 17/19, 3102 BCE) in any Nakshatra by any stretch of imagination!

As such, to say that Kali Yug started on Feb 17/18, 3102 BCE is a myth created by some Greco-Chaldean astrologer, who masqueraded as "Maya Mahaasur", and claimed in his good for nothing and the most absurd astronomical work viz. the Soorya Siddhaant that the mean longitudes of all the planets, except for the Raahu, were zero at the start of Kali Yug. He did so only to make a fool of the Hindu, in which he succeeded beyond his own expectations!

As such, God only knows when the Kali Yug started actually, if at all it has started really, since there is no such indication astronomically that it could have started during the past ten thousand years or will ever start during the next ten thousand years, because all the "stars" were not/are not going to be in conjunction near Revatee during that period of twenty-thousand years!

Because of the same reasoning, it is impossible that Krishn could have incarnated prior to 3102 BCE, since as per the royal genealogy of the Bhaagvat Puraan and also the Vishnu Puraan, there is every possibility that He could have Incarnated in around 1500 BCE. That also puts a big question mark on the date of the Mahaabhaarat war having taken place prior to around 2000 BCE at the earliest, whatever Prafulla Mendki or Prof Narhari Achar may say!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On 17/18 February of 3102 BCE it was Amaavasyaa; and the other planets were not in a single point (ie. single degree of longitude) but were around the Revatee. The longitudinal spread was about 22 degrees. Nowhere in any Puraan it is mentioned that all the Graha will not have any longitudinal spread at all at that time.

In support to show Aadi Parv - 2.13 : MBH war happened in Sandhi period of Dwaapar and Kali Yug
Van Parv -  Teerth Yaatraa Parv 149.7 and 149.38 : Hanuman told Bheem that Krit, Tretaa and Dwaapar time is over.
The time of destruction was started. Kali Yug is to start soon.
Shalya Parv - 60.25 : Krishna told Balaraam - Assume that Kali Yug has started.
[It is wrong, it says that Kali Yug is at hand or Kali Yug is about to come, see G-6-War/38]

The Dwaapar Yug Sandhi period started in 3402 BCE. In fact by 3139 BCE almost 88 % of the Sandhi period was over and only about 12 % of the Sandhi period was remaining and that is why Lord Krishn was telling Balaraam to know that Dwaapar Yug was almost over.

Further please note that the Bhaagvat Puraan says that the Kali Yug started on the very day when Krishn ascended, (ie. in 3102 BCE). Bhaagvat Puraan also says that after the rule of Nand, ie. 1500 + 100 = 1600 years from the start of the Kali Yug the effect of Kali would became severe.

See  history-bc2-326BC-800AD/12  to see that Bhaagvat Puraan says that by the end of BCE, 2,800 years of Kali Yug had passed.

Read  Bhavishya Puraan, 3/4 to know about how does it describe advent of Kali Yug.
