Ram Kills Bali, Hanuman Goes to Search Sita

Sugreev returned home, "Ram! You did not help me with your arrow,
I should have not challenged Bali, for me I do not see a fine tomorrow".
"Dear Sugreev! My problem was that you two brothers are much alike,
How to distinguish? Needs no error, there is no recourse once I strike".

Laxman put a garland in the neck of Sugreev and asked to fight again,
Sugreev challenged Bali, he came; Tara asked Bali to give up; no gain.
"Ram is refuse of Sugreev, Bali you can not win, better make peace,
Make Sugreev assistant, Ram's presence is pleasant by all means".

Bali did not heed Tara's advice; he engaged in fearsome fight again, 
Ram made aim on Bali, arrow hit in Bali's chest; Bali fell with pain.
Ram and Laxman walked down to Bali, he was glowing like a sun,
"O Ram! You are righteous, how could you hit me, I see no reason ".

"Bali if you consider yourself a human being than you are a sinner,
You took your younger brother's wife, she is a like your daughter".
If you think that you are a monkey than hunting is our common act,
You tortured your brother Sugreev though he is a person perfect".

"I kept my promise to Sugreev, you did not care for your wife's advice,
We rule the earth, bring righteousness; for your death reason suffice".
"Ram! The Lord of lords, I cannot win you, am I still a sinner indeed?
You are in front of me at last hour, grant mercy; nothing else I need".

"This my son Angad needs love, care, please accept him as your own,
My wife Tara needs respect from Sugreev, Ram! Soon I will be gone".
"O Bali! You are liberated; we can bring doctors and save your life,
Tell me what do you want, Sugreev will provide respect to your wife".

"Dear Ram! Let me go, this what I looked for, your presence is heaven,
Yogis try life after life, but they cannot receive, what you have given".
Bali received heaven, after praying Ram he left his earthly body here.
Ram asked Sugreev for Bali's last rights in royal way, then and there.

Bali's wife Tara came to Bali she was grief ridden, crying, lamenting,
She asked Ram to kill her; she can join Bali's soul, love was cementing.
"Tara, you are a wife of a hero and mother of a hero, it is not befitting,
Your son Angad will be king junior, for you his glory be comforting".

"Tara! Bali is in heaven; you should not worry about his noble soul,
Sugreev will respect you, perform last rights; look life as a whole".
Ram could console Tara, now Sugreev was in very passive mood,
"Ram! I made Bali to die, I am a sinner, will not accept kinghood".

Laxman arranged Bali's last rights and ask every one to have duty,
Bali's last rights were performed nicely; rainy season had its beauty.
Ram asked Hanuman and Laxman to arrange Sugreev's coronation,
Sugreev was king, Angad was king junior with Hanuman's association.

Ram said, "Sugreev! You accept the kingdom and live in royal palace,
For rainy season I will be with Laxman on Pravarshan hill in a place".
Ram, Laxman found a beautiful cave and lived for four months there,
The monsoon season was exciting; Ram was missing dear Sita here.

Sugreev was enjoying life superbly with women, wine, dance and art,
He forgot completely his promise to Ram to find Sita it was not smart.
Hanuman came to Sugreev and reminded about his promise with Ram,
They sent messengers to call all monkeys in two weeks in their farm.

Ram was worried, " Sugreev forgot about expedition to find Sita, dear,
He did not maintain duty of friendship, Laxman! You meet him there".
Laxman was furious; he went in to Kishkindha and sent his message,
Angad came to receive him; then came Tara, realized time's passage.

Tara said, "Prince Laxman! Sugreev feels very sorry for the laps here,
He did not forgot his promise to Ram, Monkeys are coming soon here".
Sugreev was in exile, suffered now he wanted to enjoy nicely his life,
With Ram's grace he secured the kingdom, wealth, family and his wife.

Sugreev came with folded palms, received Laxman with respect, grace,
All went to Ram, Sugreev took apology; he handled his duty, no mess,
Monkeys came form various regions, coming out from mountain caves,
Huge bodies, red, brown, gray, black, white each together nicely waves.

All came in the fields, offering their respect to Sugreev, Laxman, Ram,
Sugreev greeted every one; Laxman is happy, Ram waves with charm.
Ram took out from the finger his beautiful ring and gave it to Hanuman,
"Please keep, give it to Sita when you see her, you be leaving in dawn".

"I will try my best to find Sita, glad that you bestow your confidence,
I will deal with enemies and at any cost maintain my independence".
Monkeys were sent in four groups, the East, West, and North, South,
Angad headed the South team and Hanuman was there without doubt.

Monkeys were tired hungry; in a month they could not have a base,
They reached in the cave of Swayam Prabha to find a food in case.
Swayam Prabha helped them and took them to the big south sea beach,
Raven's Lanka was far in the ocean beyond the monkeys' normal reach.

Sampati a big bird saw monkeys sitting on seashore in vast sand sad,
It said, "O you all have come to die here, be my food, do not be mad".
Monkeys said, "O big bird, jatayu helped Ram to save Sita in the forest,
We came to find Sita, Jatayu was noble, you are cruel; time is our test".

"Jatayu was my brother, as you say it died while fighting with Raven,
Well I will help you, I pray for Jatayu, his soul must be in the heaven".
"While we were young, we wanted to touch the sun, went high in sky,
Heat was much, we fell; I covered Jatayu, lost my wings, did not die".

Jatayu's brother Sampati talked to the monkey's on the South seashore, 
He confirmed that Sita is Raven's captive in Lanka need efforts more.
Angad wanted to go but he was not sure about his safe come back,
Jambvan said, "You are the captain, it is necessary for you stay back".

Jambvan asked Hanuman, "How come you are silent, please come up,
You can do whatever you decide, you are our hope to success, run up!"
Hanuman became huge in size, he said, "I can do, I will find dear Sita,
I can capture Raven, I crush mountains, and I will be a strong cheetah".

Jambvan said, "You please find Sita and bring good message for Ram,
Do not try to bring Sita with you, it will be done by Ram with charm".     
"This is the past time of Lord Sri Ram his incomprehensible activities,
We are fortunate to be part of his glory which has infinite possibilities".
