A Yagya done with the desire of a son

 1-Sarg 1-2 - Naarad Jee visits Vaalmeeki Jee and Vaalmeeki Jee pronounces the first Shlok seeing one bird killed from a pair by a bird-killer. Brahmaa Jee comes and inspires him to write Raamaayan.
 2-Sarg 3-8 - Vaalmeeki Jee wrote the story of Raam and taught it to two children - Lav and Kush. They started singing it. Dasharath had all the pleasures but a son. So he decided to do an Ashwamedh Yagya to get a son, so he ordered to make arrangements for it.
 3-Sarg 9-13 - Dasharath's Chief Minister Sumantra tells the story of King Rompaad as how he got rains in his kingdom. Sumantra tells Dasharath Sanat Kumaar's prediction about his sons and Dasharath brings Rishi Rishyashring to Ayodhyaa. Dasharath expresses his desire to do Yagya and his Purohit Vashishth Jee makes the arrangements for it.
 4-Sarg 14-16 - Dasharath completes Ashwamedh Yagya and then does Putreshti Yagya too. Brahmaa Jee sends a man to give Prasaad to Dasharath Jee. Dasharath Jee distributes Prasaad to his three chief queens.
 5-Sarg 17-19 - Devtaa produce Vaanar to help Raam on Prithvi. Dasharath has four sons, Raam, Lakshman, Bharat and Shatrughn. When Raam is only 15 years old, Vishwaamitra Jee comes to ask for Raam to protect his Yagya from Maareech and Subaahu Raakshas.
 6-Sarg 20-21 - Vishwaamitra Jee asks for Raam to protect his Yagya but Dasharath hesitates. Vashishth Jee supports Vishwaamitra Jee  to send Raam and Lakshman to protect his Yagya.
 7-Sarg 22-25 - Dasharath sends Raam and Lakshman with Vishwaamitra Jee. Vishwaamitra Jee teaches several weapons to Raam. On their way they stay in Shiv Aashram. Raam and Lakshman arrive at Muni Vishwaamitra's Aashram. On the way Muni tells the story of Taadakaa.
8-Sarg 26-28 - Raam kills Taadakaa and Vishwaamitra again gives Him many other weapons.
9-Sarg 29-31 - Raam comes to Vaaman Aashram and pushes Maareech very far. Then Vishwaamitra Jee takes both princes to Janak Puree to show them Dhanush Yagya.
10-Sarg-32-35 - On the way Vishwaamitra tells them Raajaa Kushnaabh's Story in reference to his lineage. Vishwaamitra's lineage and the story of Gangaa River-1.
11-Sarg 36-37 - Story of Gangaa River-2 and -3 - How Kaartikeya was born to Gangaa.
12-Sarg 38-41 - Story of Gangaa River 4 and 5 - How did she come on Prithvi. Raajaa Sagar gets sons and performs an Ashwamedh Yagya. His Yagya's horse is stolen and he sends his children to find it. Story of Gangaa River 6 and 7 - Raajaa Sagar's children dig the whole Prithvi but can't find the horse and when they find it, Kapil Muni burns them all only with a sight. Raajaa sends his grandson Anshumaan to find them. The grandson finds his uncles burned, brings the horse back, and tells the whole story as how to do their Uddhaar.
13-Sarg 42-44 - Story of Gangaa River 8, 9 and 10 - Now Bhageerath makes efforts to bring Gangaa on Prithvi, and he succeeds to bring her on Prithvi and takes her to the place where his forefathers' ashes were lying.
14-Sarg 45-47 - Devtaa and Asur churn the Ksheer Saagar with the desire of getting Amrit. Amrit develops a war between them. Asur are killed. Diti, Daitya's mother, becomes sad and asks for a son in Var from her husband Kashyap Jee to kill Indra. She gets pregnant, then changes her mind and gives that son to Indra himself.
15-Sarg 48-51 -  On the way to Janak Puree, they pass through  an Aashram where Raam does Ahalyaa Uddhaar. Muni tells Ahalyaa's story. They arrive in Janak Puree and Janak Jee welcomes them. His Purohit Shataanand Jee tells his mother Ahalyaa's story and Vishwaamitra Jee's story.
16-Sarg 52-56 - Vishwaamitra Jee meets Vashishth Jee in his Aashram and accepts his invitation to have food for his one Akshauhinee army. Kapilaa cow destroys Vishwaamitra's army when he wants to take her by force and Vashishth Jee could not do anything to save her. Vishwaamitra Jee gets frustrated and does Tapasyaa and gets many weapons. But he gets more frustrated when his Brahmaastra fails in front of Vashishth's Brahm Dand. Then he decides to get Brahm power with his own Tapasyaa.
17-Sarg 57-60 - Vishwaamitra Jee does Tapasyaa but gets only Raajarshi' status. But he wants Brahmarshi's status so he does more intense Tap. At the same time Raajaa Trishanku was looking for someone who could send him to Swarg Lok with this mortal body. Vishwaamitra Jee performs a Yagya to send him to Swarg with his mortal body. He is able to send him there but Devtaa didn't allow him to come to Swarg as he had Shaap of his Guru. So he lived with other stars.
18-Sarg 61-65 - Raajaa Ambareesh performs a Yagya in which Indra steals his Yagya animals. Now either he needs those animals back or a human being in exchange of them for sacrifice. He buys Richeek Muni's middle son for his Yagya sacrifice as he could not find his Yagya animals back. On the way the boy finds Vishwaamitra Jee, his Maamaa, who saves his life. Vishwaamitra Jee again does Tapasyaa. This time he is attracted to Menakaa Apsaraa and produces a girl named Shakuntalaa (brought up by Kanv Rishi), and gives Shaap to Rambhaa Apsaraa in anger. he gets the status of Maharshi.
19-Sarg 66-70 - Vishwaamitra Jee asks Raajaa Janak to show his bow to Raam and Lakshman. Janak tells its story of the bow and shows it to them. Raam looks at it, picks it up, pulls its string and it breaks. Janak Jee sends his ministers to Ayodhyaa to bring Dasharath for Raam-Seetaa's wedding. Dasharath Jee goes there. Janak calls his brother Kushdhwaj also and marries his two daughters to Bharat and Shatrughn.
20-Sarg 71-73 - Janak describes his Vansh before performing the marriage. Janak and Dasharath prepare for marriage. And Dasharath Jee marries his four sons to four daughters of Janak Vansh.
21-Sarg 74-77 - While returning from Mithilaa, Dasharath meets Parashuraam Jee. He invites Raam to fight with Him but gets scared seeing His special arrow. Raam destroys His pride and power of walking in Tri-Lok. Parashuraam goes back to Mahendra Parvat.
