Krishn-1: Krishn's Birth |
Krishn-1: Krishn's Birth
1. Krishn's Birth Krishn was born to Vasudev and Devakee. Devakee was the daughter of the then King Ugrasen's brother Devak. King Ugrasen, the King of Mathuraa, had 7 sons, among them Kans was the eldest and the most powerful. He defeated even Jaraasandh who was as mighty as Bheem, that is why he had married his two daughters to Kans. Kans loved Devakee very much. To strengthen relations with Vasudev, he married her to him. When Vasudev was taking Devakee to his home after the marriage, and Kans was driving their chariot to their home, an Aakaashvaanee (Divine voice) said - "O Kans, To whom you are taking yourself to her in-law's house, her 8th child will be your killer." Kans got frightened hearing this and got ready to kill his sister. With great difficulty Vasudev convinced him that he should not kill Devakee and since his fear was with her children, not from her, he himself takes the responsibility to give her all children to him. Kans agreed but he imprisoned them both so that he can count their children. As Devakee started giving birth to her children, Kans killed them, one by one. Thus he killed her 6 sons. He was very satisfied with this arrangement and was waiting for her 8th child. By God's grace Devakee's 7th child was transferred to Vasudev's another wife Rohinee and she gave birth to Krishn's elder brother Balaraam who was the incarnation of Shesh Jee. Thus Kans could not trace Devakee's 7th child. When the time came for her 8th child, Kans was very impatient to kill him. But again by God's grace, her 8th child who was Krishn Himself, spread His Maayaa and all guards of prison slept and He asked Vasudev to take Him to Nand's house in Brij - across Yamunaa. Vasudev obeyed Him and left Him with Nand Jee. He brought Nand and Yashodaa's newborn daughter to give to Kans. When he came back, all the guards woke up by hearing the cries of a newborn child. They immediately informed Kans about the birth of a child to Devakee. Kans also came immediately to kill the child. He took that girl in his hand to kill her by hitting her on the stone that she escaped from his hand and flew in the sky. From there she said - "O Fool, Why do you want to kill me, your killer has already been born." and disappeared. Kans was very angry with Vasudev and Devakee as he was not expecting a girl child from them. it meant that they deceived him. But he could not do anything, so he rubbed his hands and came back to his palace. His next task was first to find out that child and then to kill him. This he tried to do several times in several ways, but could not succeed. In the end he himself was killed by Devakee's 8th child - Krishn.
