Sarg 62-Raavan Tells Kumbhkarn His Problem As Kumbhkarn arrived in Raavan's palace after crossing city roads, Raavan got up happily and hugged him dearly. Kumbhkarn greeted him by touching his feet. Raavan gave him an Aasan to sit on. Kumbhkarn said to Raavan angrily - "What kind of fear is there for which you had to wake me up?" Raavan said - "You don't know, it is Raam's fear. This Raam has come here crossing this huge sea along with His army and is destroying our family. Our many army-chiefs have already lost their lives in this battle. Now we cannot tolerate this destruction any more that is why we have awaken you. Protect us all. My brother, now only you can protect us, as I believe. You protected me in Dev-Asur Sangraam also by pushing Dev army back. so now also you protect us. I don't see anybody else like you." Sarg 63-Kumbhkarn Advises Raavan Kumbhkarn found Raavan really sad and worried, so he said - "I told you before that you should return Seetaa but you didn't agree for that and you did the same for which now you are so much worried. Hey Raajan, who do not care about Desh (country or place) and Kaal (time) at the time of taking any action, they die soon. Whoever kings do not care for ethics (diplomacy or Neeti Shaastra) in their pride, and do not listen to the advice of their ministers, and do not try to know as who is advising them in friendship and who is advising them in enmity, they always land into trouble. Whoever kings enjoy Dharm, Arth and Kaam (desires) with the advise of their ministers, they always enjoy happiness. Whoever ministers do not have the knowledge of economics, they should not be allowed to stay in the royal court. There are ministers here in Lankaa who always advise wrongly in their selfish interest. They might be even of enemy's people. I am sure, before this war, brother Vibheeshan and Mandodaree must have advised you about this, and I also thought in the same way, but you never listened to anyone. That is why you are suffering for your actions." Raavan got very angry hearing Kumbhkarn's advice. He said - "This is not the time to advise me like an Aachaarya (Guru)." Kumbhkarn understood that Raavan has become angry with me, so he tried to please him, he said - "You should not be worried now. I alone will kill Raam and Lakshman, and when they will be killed then their army will automatically run away. I am going to the battlefield just now and will please you by killing the enemy. I will kill Raam, Lakshman and Hanumaan, because they have killed our many Raakshas. You know it very well that even this whole world is not much for me to eat. I am going to the battlefield, you enjoy your liquor and your palace." And he got ready to go to war. Sarg 64-Mahodar Advises to Both Raavan and Kumbhkarn Hearing Kumbhkarn, Mahodar said - "Your saying that "King doesn't care for just or unjust" is not true. This you are saying because of your young age, because Raavan always acts according to place and time. You cannot even understand Dharm, Arth and Kaam, and whoever acts with A-Dharm, he bears its results alone. Seetaa's abduction was necessary for Raavan. We supported him for it, therefore whatever our king is doing with enemy, it is his extreme courage. And you are saying that you alone will kill enemy? That is impossible for you, because whoever Raakshas have escaped from Jansthaan, they are still trembling with fear. Then how can you win them all alone? Because Raam is like death for Raakshas that is why I do not consider proper for you to go alone to fight." Then he said to Raavan - "Why do you worry about Seetaa" She is still under your control. I can tell you one more way to control Her. If we had won the enemy then nothing to worry, but if we do not win, then we will come with blood all over our body and say to you "We have eaten all Vaanar army along with Ram and Lakshman." Hearing this you make announcement of this news in the city and reward Raakshas in the court. Seeing this Seetaa will be in your control. Because She is made to enjoy pleasures that is why She will come to you to enjoy pleasures. Women are very volatile by nature. Thus we can fulfill our aim without fighting with Raam, then why to kill our Raakshas by sending them in the battlefield. And you may enjoy Seetaa.
