6-Ravibhaamaa |
6th Figure's Story - 6-Ravibhaamaa Vikram is Tested As Raajaa Bhoj tried to sit on the throne again, this time the 6th figure whose name was Ravibhaamaa burst into laughter and asked him - "Do you think you are the right person to sit upon this throne?" Raajaa Bhoj said - "Yes." She said - "First listen to this story and then decide if you can sit on this throne. Listen, One day the King Vikram was watching natural beauty sitting in his palace built on the banks of the river. It was rainy season, so the water was at its very high level. In the meantime he saw a man, a woman and a child. They were wearing very torn clothes. The King understood that they were very poor. Suddenly they jumped into the river and the next moment they were crying for help. Since it was not possible for Vikram alone to save all the three, so he remembered his two Vaitaal. The Vaitaal saved the woman and the child and Vikram saved the man. When they gained their senses, he asked the man why they wanted to commit suicide. The man told him that he was a very poor Braahman in his kingdom. He was fed up with his poverty and wanted to end his life because of it. He could not see his wife and child dying with hunger. Since all people do their work themselves that is why he can't get any job also. Vikram pitied him and said to him - "You can live in my guest house as long as you want and your all needs will be fulfilled there." The man said - "But after a while I may not get all the things I need and maybe I will have to go from your palace insulted." Vikram assured him that he would be well treated and no such thing will take place. So they came to the guest house of Vikram. There they started living more than comfortably. They had everything they needed, still they lived in a very dirty way. They did not change their clothes for several days, They passed stool or urine wherever they wanted. This made everything very messy and dirty. The place smelled so badly that the caretakers ran away from that place even without caring for the King. The King sent some other servants also but they all left. Then Vikram thought to serve them himself. He used to take care of them, he did all their work. That Braahman family tried its best to provoke Vikram that he should insult them and they could blame him for insulting them, but no such thing happened. Then one day the Braahman had intended to test Vikram's patience. He asked him to clean his body, to bathe it and to put on new clothes. As Vikram started cleaning his body, a miracle happened. The Braahman's all dirty clothes disappeared and he got clad in Divine clothes. His face started shining and he started smelling sweet. Then he told him that he was Varun and he disguised himself in this form to test him. Varun got very pleased with Vikram's services, he bestowed him with a boon that there will be no dryness in his kingdom and there will be three crops each year. After blessing like this he disappeared with his family.
