When Mahaabhish was born in Ikshwaaku Vansh?

Vaishampaayan Jee says that "There was a king Mahaabhish born in
Ikshwaaku Vansh." We have read several Puraan, and most Puraan give
genealogy of Soorya and Chandra Vansh, but none has mentioned Mahaabhish's
name there in Soorya Vansh? See the genealogy of

We don't see Mahaabhish's name
anywhere wherever Ikshwaaku or Soorya Vansh has been described. (see

Vansh in Padm Puraan, and Ikshwaaku Vansh in
Bhaagvat Puraan,
9/1. Was he in some other Kalp?) When was he born in Soorya Vansh? In
which Kalp? Who was his father, who was his son etc? Anybody has information
about it?

This story does not seem to be true, as till Shakuni played the Dice game,
his father and his brothers were alive.
But according to MBH Serial, when he set up Laakshaa Grih for Paandav, his
father did not seem to be alive.
Anybody has any idea where from
this story emerged and what is the truth?
