      Marriage and Divorce
What is marriage according to astrology? It is better to read BHPS (Brihat
Paraashar Horaa Shaastra) and go through the effects of 7th house that
deals with Vivaah. To be concise find the book Marriage-matching
Astrologically. Pustak Mahal publication. It helps easily to understand
      the complexities of marriage.

      Marriage is the union of
body and mind. If you had it with the opposite sex, you are married. No
functions or presiding by a priest is necessary. On the contrary divorce
is strictly a legal term. Even after divorce a person could be married
with the same partner. Astrologically divorce has no significance. When
you reach a stage that the union of the body and mind is not there with
your partner for a continued period of time, you are divorced.

      Moon Sign
Moon Sign is that part of the celestial sphere in which the Moon
resides at the time of birth. For example, if a native is born at a time
when the Moon was in Mithun (Gemini) sign, his Moon sign will be Gemini.
Moon sign is the center for a native's prediction in Indian astrology.

      Mrityu  see also Apa-Mrityu
Mrityu means death. The longevity (Aayur) Yog discussed in astrology
      belong to 3 categories.
      1. Sadyo Mrityu Yog (Sadyo-arisht yog) - they indicate sudden death of the
child immediately after birth - i.e. within an year of birth.
      2. Arisht Yog - they indicate death of the child within 8 years of age.
      3. Alpaayu Yog - they indicate death of the native within 32 years of age.
If these 3 kinds of Yog are not present in the horoscope that means the
native will have a comfortably long life that might range from 32 to 120
years of age. At least a near to maximum expected longevity can only be
calculated using Paramaayur Nirnaya methods. Death happening after the
completion of full longevity as indicated by the chart; i.e. death on
      time. (Kaal-Mrityu)

      So A-Kaal Mrityu =
      Untimely death;   Apa-Mrityu = accidental death (not-natural
death), thus untimely death also;   Kaal Mrityu = timely death
It is said that there are 101 Apa Mrityu in human body (i.e. death can
happen at any time due to accident etc), but there is only one Kaal-Mrityu.
There is a also a saying - Nothing can be done when Kaal-Mrityu approaches!

      Nodes
In Indian astrology there are two Planets - Raahu and Ketu, which are not
considered as Planets in western astrology. They call them nodes. Nodes
are either of two diametrically opposite points at which the orbit of a
Planet intersects the ecliptic. Since Raahu and Ketu are always
diametrically opposite to each others they are called nodes.

      Poorn Aayu
If sun is say at 28 Aries instead of 10 Aries, then the total longevity
drops by around 10 months.... 10 months short of the Poornaayu. Are all
definitions of Poornaayu 120 years? Is it not 110 years?  No. As per
the Pind Aayurdaya discussed (and not much supported) by Skand Horaa the
Poornaayu (full longevity) is 127 years, Skand is in support of the use of
120 years 5 days, The Ved speak about 100 years (remember the Vaidik
marriage Mantra 'twam jeeva sharadah shatam'), and some other later day

      (Period -> Sub-period -> Sub-sub-period). All Antar-dashaa are again
subdivided into nine planets' periods. They are called Pratyuantar dashaa
or Sub Sub-periods. In  this also, the Pratyantar Dashaa starts from
the planet's period of which the Antar-dashaa is running one. For example
if  Mars Anter Dashaa is running, its first Pratyantar Dashaa will be
      of mars.
