Epoch
Epoch means -
(1) an arbitrarily fixed instant of time or date, usually the beginning of a century or half century, used as a reference in giving the elements of a planetary orbit or the like.
(2) the mean longitude of a planet as seen from the Sun at such an instant or date.

Exalted
At the highest point where a Graha is benefic or malefic at its fullest.

Gandant
(1) Like 4th Pad of Aashleshaa - (junction of water/fire signs, such as Cancer/Leo)
(2) Planets having longitude between 0 to 4 degree and 26 to 30 degrees in Pisces/Aries, Cancer/Leo and Scorpio/Sagittarius junction are called planet in Gandant Nakshatra. They create serious health problems, accidents, break in relationships etc giving us a lot of physical and mental pain.

Gochar   or    Transit
Gochar (transit) simple means movements of planets along the circle of zodiac. Though the word "Go" means cow or ray etc; here it stands for planets that are possessed of rays or luster.

Graha/ Planet
(1) Any of the 9 large heavenly bodies revolving about the Sun and shining by reflected light - Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.
(2) A celestial body moving in the sky as distinguished from the fixed star, applied also to the Sun and the Moon.
(3) In Indian astrology there are 9 planets - The Sun, the Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn and 2 shadow planets - Raahu and Ketu.
(4) A Planet can be Baal (0-12 years old); Kumaar (adolescent, 12-32 years old); Yuvaa (adult, 32-50 years old); Vriddh (mature, 50-70 years old, remains inactive); Mrit (old, above 70 years, limited and restricted due to his age)
(5) A Planet can be Dukhit (unhappy, painful, injured, anxious, discontented); Mudit (happy, contented, pleased); Shaant (peaceful, balanced, friendly, not disturbed, calm); Kopa (conquered, lost, most evil directed, furious, wild, totally uncontrolled, fully blemished); Vikal or Kshudhit or Kshubhit (disturbed, limited, handicapped, confused, depressed, sorrowful); Deen (comfortless, meager, poor, timid, sad)

Gulikaa
Saturn's son. He is greater malefic and represents death ineluctable. The position of these two celestial bodies, Saturn and Gulikaa, is important in Horary predictions.

Horaa Shaastra
Science of Time. Horaa comes from two words - Aho (day) and Raatra (night) and Shaastra means science. So Hora is is a short form of Aho-raatra and means Science of Time. The calculation of Horaa is mathematical. And the Lord for that starts with is the Lord of the day and then as per rule it is rotation of the 6th from Vaar Lord. Vaar Lords are good and Benefic based on the intent and purpose and the specific time.

Horary or Prashn system is the branch of astrology, that deals with astrologically derived answers to personal  questions. It generally looks at 2 Houses and therefore provides very quick answers. The 1st House represents the questioner and the questioned House is the House is the matter asked about.
