Sarg 91-Lakshman Comes Back to Raam

After killing Meghnaad, Lakshman came to Raam along with Jaambvaan and Hanumaan. He revolved around Raam and sat down near Him. Vibheeshan also came there, he was very happy. His happiness was announcing Raam that Meghnaad had been killed. Vibheeshan told everything about Meghnaad's killing. Raam also got very happy to hear. He said to Lakshman - "You did a great thing that you killed Meghnaad. Consider it that we have won now." He drew Lakshman to His laps and embraced him. He caressed Lakshman's body and said - "This is not Meghnaad, but consider as Raavan is killed. Vibheeshan and Hanumaan also did a lot in this war. How did you kill him in three days and three nights? Now you have made me without enemy. Now Raavan will come out. He must be very sad with the killing of his son. I will kill him now. Now we will get Seetaa easily."

Then Raam said to Sushen - "Do whatever can cure Lakshman's body's wounds. And treat these Vaanar and bears also, and any other one who is a warrior. " Sushen dropped some medicine in Lakshman's nostrils and he felt all better and became healthy. Sushen treated all other Vaanar also. All were happy.

Sarg 92-Raavan's Vilaap for Meghnaad 

Raavan's ministers informed Raavan about his son's killing and said - "In front of our eyes Lakshman killed your son with the help of Vibheeshan. That brave who could not be defeated by anyone, today was killed by Lakshman. But Meghnaad also fought very bravely." Who pierced Indra at one time, hearing the death of the same Meghnaad, Raavan got unconscious. He gained consciousness after long time.

When he came into senses, he cried and cried - "O my dear son, At one time you won Indra, how did you lose to Lakshman? You could win even Kaal and Yam Raaj with your arrows. You could dig out even Mandaraachal Parvat, then what was Lakshman for you? I knew the nature of Yam Raaj today. He took away even you from me. This is the proper path for warriors. Whoever is killed for his Swaamee, he goes to Swarg. Today all Devtaa and Maharshi will sleep comfortably hearing the news of killing of Meghnaad. I feel so lonely in this whole world without one Indrajeet. Today I will hear the sounds of Raakshas women's cry.

O enemy of enemies, Where have you gone leaving the status of Crown Prince, Raakshas, mother, your wife and me, You were supposed to perform my last rites, but now I will have have to do the same for you. You made me to do this opposite duty. You went leaving Raam, Lakshman, Sugreev etc alive, and without relieving me from my sorrows."

Thus Raavan did Vilaap for some time. Then he got angry. He yawned in fury and he got more furious. Now he thought proper to kill Seetaa. His eyes got red, he looked like Mahaadev. Tears dropped from his eyes. He was looking here and there. Nobody dared to come in front of him at this time. He called them and said - "I have done Tap for 1,000 years and pleased Brahmaa Jee at the end of my Tap. With the power of my that Tap I have no fear from any Devtaa and Asur. I have my armor given by Brahmaa Jee. In Dev-Asur Sangraam it didn't break even with the hit of Vajra. When I will go in the battlefield wearing that armor, can even Indra face me at that time? Pleased in Dev-Asur Sangraam, Brahmaa Jee gave me a beautiful bow, go and bring that bow with auspicious ceremonies. Today the same bow will be the cause of Raam and Lakshman's death."

He paused for a moment and then again said - "My son must have shown something else to those monkeys in place of Seetaa. I will make his action true and kill that Kshatriya's wife Seetaa." He picked his sword and went to Seetaa with his minister and wife. Seeing Raavan going, Raakshas started shouting with happiness and talked - "Today both brothers will be very sad to see this furious Raavan because Raavan has won all four Lok Paal and has won many others. He has enjoyed many best gems collected from Tri-Lok. Nobody can face Raavan in bravery and might in the whole world."

These Raakshas were talking like this, that Raavan stepped forward to attack Seetaa. His well-wishers tried to stop him, but he was so much angry that he did not want to listen to anything. Innocent fearful Seetaa looked at Raavan but he didn't stop. She said - "The way he is killing, it seems that he will kill me like an orphan. I love my husband, he told me several times that you be my wife, but I didn't agree for it. That is why he has become desperate and he wants to kill me because of his anger and extensive love. Or maybe he has killed Raam and Lakshman also because of me. I am very unfortunate that because of me they were killed, or because of the grief of his son he wants to kill me instead of Raam and Lakshman. In my foolishness I didn't listen to Hanumaan also otherwise I would have gone on his back and I did not get a chance to think like this. When Kaushalyaa will hear the news of killing of her sons she would surely die."

At this time Raavan's kind minister Supaarshwa said to Raavan - "Hey Dashagreev, In spite of being Kuber's younger brother, you want to kill Seetaa leaving the Sharm (shame) path, only because of your anger? You completed the study of Ved still you want to sin like a woman? Do not kill Her. If you want to be angry with someone, then be angry with Raam. Let us go to the battlefield and fight with him. Today is the 14th day of Krishn Paksh. Get ready for the war, gather your weapons. Tomorrow on Amaavasyaa we will go for war. You will return after killing [Raam and Lakshman]." Hearing all this Raavan returned his home.
