Manthra Instigates Kekayee and Kekayee Asks for Her Boons

"When times turn, friend becomes foe and food becomes poison,
The family kicks you, in clouds of calamity is hard to see horizon".
"Please listen to me, I am an employee, will remain an employee,  
If Bharat becomes the king, you are royal mother, control full pie". 

Queen Kekayee was affected with Manthra's logic and sincerity,
The Queen was compelled to see "What is doing the authority?"
"Why Bharat was not informed of this coronation's celebration,
Even her parents were not considered for a formal invitation."

She became mild and told "Dear Manthra you may have a doubt,
But, I am helpless to do any thing, the king is in control of route".
"Only way out is to cooperate and conceal feelings and sorrow,
Things have been finalized; the Ram's coronation is tomorrow". 

After listening Kekayee Manthra became destructive in all,
"O kakeyee! You be strong, never think that we are small".
"I will find a solution, but you need to be strong as a rock,
Be determined, resolute, our plan will be for some a shock". 

"As I remember you were granted by the king two boons,
You cash your boons, the king's plans be busting balloons".
"In one boon you ask for dear Bharat's kingship and throne,
In second boon you ask for Ram's exile and he will be gone".

"Now you assume to be a different person, devoid of mercy,
Please go to 'the Anger room' of the palace in an emergency".
"First let the king swear and promise than bring your demand,
Be resolute, inconsiderate to the king and be in full command".   

"Today's evening is the only time to do the needful as I said,
If you fail dear! Than you will be treated as Koshlya's maid".
"I love you much, I look to your benefit in day and in night,
Please remember the king's infatuation for you is the might".

"Please rehearse before, how you will talk in very evening,
Never waste a moment's time; this is an excellent beginning". 
"O Manthra! You are beyond my far reaching imagination,
I do not know, how will it go; festivity will be in termination".

"Kakeeyee! Do or die, you are a mother, please help your son,
If you do not act now, who else is in your proxy going to run".
Queen Kakeyee was convinced, she decided to act as detailed,
Manthra was help in the preparation; king was to be black mailed.

In the evening King Dasharatha came to the Kakeyee's palace,
He was jubilant, well dressed, gifts in hands with shining face.
The king did not see dear Kakeyee in the reception area indoor,
He asked the maid, the king was taken to 'the Anger room door'.

The king saw Kakeyee devoid of makeup, jewelry, dressed black,
 Her face cruel, tears in eyes; the king was shocked, taken aback.
 "O Dear Kakeyee! What has happened to you, who did an insult?
I will do what ever it takes, you are so dear, will not care a result".

Kakeyee continued crying, she was lying dastardly on the floor,
Dasharatha did pat her shoulders; she said "O king! Do no more".
"Please get up, tomorrow is big day dear Ram having coronation,
Please dress up well and ask for any thing without reservation". 

"I swear in dear Ram's name, let me know your cherished desire,
If some one has insulted you, I will take that person to task or fire".
"Please ask for land, diamonds, jewels, palaces or what you think,
You have been so nice to me, what went wrong, it does not sink".

The king supported Kakeyee and brought her on couch with care,
Kakeyee was furious "O King! Ram is in your thoughts every where".
"You promised to me while ago, to grant two boons; I am still waiting,
When will you grant me those boons, this is what I am here narrating".

"O dear! You can cash those boons today in this very moment, I say,
Every thing belongs to you dear Kakeyee, please trust me, it is no nay".  
"I gave my heart, home, hearth and all possessions to you, as normal,
Please be happy, we all are together, what is left in us to be formal!"  

"O king if you are so generous than please grant me what is my desire,
In first boon the kingship of Awadh to dear Bharat and you just retire".
"In the second boon, exile to Ram for full fourteen years in far jungle,
Ram will leave Ayodhya in the morning and I prefer no further tangle".
