Arjun After War-2

After the war Arjun's part in Ashwamedh Yagya is notable, which is given in Ashwamedh Parv of Mahaabhaarat.

Son Babhruvaahan Kills Father Arjun
When Yudhishthir did Ashwamedh Yagya after the war, two horses were released - one white and one black. On white horse Arjun rode and the black horse was released to wander around. Fuirst the black horse entered the territory of Trigart. Its king Sooryavarmaa held up the horse. So Arjun fought with Sooryavarmaa and his two brothers - Ketuvarmaa and Dhritvarmaa. He defeated all the three brothers. Then then the black horse proceeded and came to Sindhu Desh where ruled Surath named King. He was young son of Jayadrath - the husband of Dushalaa and whom Arjun killed in the war. When Dushalaa heard this, she took the refuge with Arjun and Arjun forgave him. From there the black horse came to North-East province Manipur. Manipur was ruled by his own son Babhruvaahan, the son of Chitraangadaa. Arjun was not aware of. As Arjun arrived in Manipur, his son welcomed him warmly, but Arjun took it as if he was behaving cowardly. He provoked him to fight with him. Uloopee aggravated the situation and thus both started fighting with each other. The fight was very intense and Babhruvaahan killed Arjun.

Seeing Arjun killed both Uloopee and Chitraangadaa came at the spot. Chitraangadaa got very sad seeing Arjun dead. She prayed Uloopee to bring him back to life. On the other hand when Babhruvaahan came into his senses, he also fied himself for being the cause of his father's death. When Chaitraangadaa pursued Uloopee, she brought Arjun back to life by the use of Sanjeevanee herb. After this drama was over, Uloopee told the secret of all this. She told that when Arjun had felled Bheeshm Pitaamaha, the Ashtaavasu cursed him for his unethical act - putting Shikhandee in front of himself and shooting arrows at Bheeshm who was without any arms. Ashtaavasu had taken the permission of Gangaa before cursing Arjun.

Somehow Uloopee knew this secret, so she approached her father Naag Ananat. Ananat, in turn, approached Ashtaavasu and requested them to call back their curse which they put on Arjun. Hearing Anant's request they softened the curse that Arjun would be killed by his own son Babhruvaahan at Manipur, thus after the curse has worked he would then be revived. So after Uloopee had brought Arjun back to life, she told him everythhing. Arjun got very happy to hear this. He embraced his son and asked him to come to Hastinaapur to attend Ashwamedh Yagya with his both mothers.

Arjun's Further Travels
After this Arjun proceeded and came to Magadh Kingdom and defeated Meghsandhi, grandson of Jaraasandh (maybe the son of Sahadev). He defeated Sharabh, the son of Shishupaal, in Shaktipur of the Chedi's in the South. Arjun then defeated Bang, Pundra, Koshal, Koromandal, Draavid, Aandhra, Mahaashikh, Sauraashtra, Gokarn Desh, Dwaaraavatee Nagaree, Panchnad Pradesh and Gaandhaar Desh and invited all of them to Hastinaapur to attend the Ashwamedh Yagya performed by Yudhishthir.
