Some Evidences of Raam's Dates
(This information has been taken
from US Brahmins Group, Nov 15, 2010, by Krishnan]
As this studies are conducted at time to time, and various results are found, it
is not necessary that all this information is true.
The story of Shree Raam's
life was first narrated by Maharshi Vaalmeeki in the Raamaayan, which was
written after Shree Raam was crowned as the King of Ayodhyaa. Vaalmeeki Jee
was a great astronomer as he has made sequential astronomical references on
important dates related to the life of Shree Raam indicating the location
of planets vis-a-vis zodiac constellations and the other stars (Nakshatra)
. Needless to add that similar position of planets and Nakshatra is not
repeated in thousands of years. By entering the precise details of the
planetary configuration of the important events in the life of Shri Raam as
given in the Vaalmeeki Raamaayan in the software named "Planetarium"
corresponding exact dates of these events according to the English calendar
can be known.
Mr Pushkar Bhatnagar of the
Indian Revenue Service had acquired this software from the US. It is used
to predict the > solar and lunar eclipses and distance and location of
other planets from earth. He entered the relevant details about the planetary
positions narrated by Vaalmeeki and obtained very interesting and convincing
results, which almost determine the important dates starting from the birth of
Shree Raam to the date of his coming back to Ayodhyaa after 14 years of exile.
Birth of Raam
Vaalmeeki Jee has recorded in Baal Kaand, Sarga 19, Shlok 8-9
(1/18/8-9) that Shree Raam was born on ninth Tithi of Chaitra month when
the position of different planets vis-a-vis zodiac constellations and
Nakshatra (visible stars) were: (1) Sun in Aries; (2) Saturn in Libra; (3)
Jupiter in Cancer; (4) Venus in Pisces; (5) Mars in Capricorn; (6) Lunar
month of Chaitra; (7) Ninth day after no moon (Amaavasyaa); (8) Lagna as
Cancer (cancer was rising in the east); (10) Moon on the Punarvasu (Gemini
constellation and Pllux star); (10) Day time (around noon).
This data was fed into the
software. The results indicated that this was exactly the location of
planets and stars in the noon of January 10, 5114 BC. Thus Shree Raam was
born on January 10, 5114 BC (7121 years back). As per the Indian calendar
it was the 9th day of Shukla Paksh in Chaitra month and the time was around
12 to 1 noontime. This is exactly the time and date when Raam Navamee is
celebrated all over India.
Shri Raam was born in Ayodhyaa.
This fact can be ascertained from several books written by Indian and foreign
authors before and after the birth of Christ - Vaalmeeki Raamaayan, Tulasee
Raamaayan, Kaalidaas' Raghuvansham, Bauddh and Jain literature, etc. These books
have narrated in great detail the location, rich architecture and beauty of
Ayodhyaa which had many palaces and temples built all over the kingdom. Ayodhyaa
was located on the banks of the Sarayoo river with Gangaa and Paanchaal Pradesh
on one side and Mithilaa on the other side.
Raam Goes With Vishwaamitra
Normally 7,000 years is a very long period during which earthquakes,
storms, floods and foreign invasions can change the course of rivers,
destroy the towns and buildings and alter the territories. Therefore,
the task of unearthing the facts is monumental. The present Ayodhyaa has
shrunk in size and the rivers have changed their course about 40 km North
or South. Shree Raam went out of Ayodhyaa in his childhood (13th year as
per Vaalmeeki Raamaayan) with Rishi Vishwaamitra Jee who lived in Tapovan
(Siddh Aashram). From there he went to Mithilaa, King Janak's kingdom. Here
he married Seetaa after breaking the Shiv Dhanush. Researchers have gone
along the route adopted by Shree Raam as narrated in the Vaalmeeki Raamaayan
and found 23 places which have memorials that commemorate the events related
to the life of Shree Raam. These include Shringee Aashram, Raam Ghaat, Taadakaa
Van, Siddh Aashram, Gautam Aashram, Janak Pur (now in Nepaal), Seetaa Kund, etc.
Memorials are built for great men and not for fictitious characters.
Date of Exile of Shri Raam:
It is mentioned in Vaalmeeiki Raamaayan's Ayodhyaa Kaand (2/4/18) that Dasharath
wanted to make Shree Raam the King because Sun, Mars and Raahu had surrounded his
Nakshatra and normally under such planetary configuration the King dies or becomes
a victim of conspiracies. Dasharath's zodiac sign was Pisces and his Nakshatra was
Revatee. This planetary configuration was prevailing on the January 5, 5089 BC, and
it was on this day that Shree Raam left Ayodhyaa for 14 years of exile. Thus, he was
25 years old at that time (5114-5089). There are several Shlok in Vaalmeeki Raamaayan
which indicate that Shree Raam was 25-years-old when he left Ayodhyaa for exile.
Date of War With Khar and Dooshan
Vaalmeeki Raamaayan refers to the solar eclipse at the time of war with
Khar Dooshan in later half of 13th year of Shree Ram's exile. It is also
mentioned that it was Amavasyaa day and Mars was in the middle. When this
data was entered, the software indicated that there was a solar eclipse on
October 7, 5077 BC, (Amaavasyaa day) which could be seen from Panchvatee.
The planetary configuration was also the same - Mars was in the middle, on one
side were Venus and Mercury and on the other side were Sun and Saturn. On the
basis of planetary configurations described in various other chapters, the date
on which Raavan was killed works out to be December 4, 5076 BC, and Shree Raam
had completed 14 years of exile on January 2, 5075 BC, and that day was also
Navamee of Shukla Paksh in Chaitra month. Thus Shree Raam had come back to
Ayodhyaa at the age of 39 (5114-5075).
We have never heard
Chaitra Maas in as early as the first week of January; although this date
might coincide with the date of going to exile - 5th January, as being 14
years completed on 2nd January.
A colleague, Dr Raam Avtar,
researched on places visited by Shri Raam during his exile, and sequentially
moved to the places stated as visited by Shree Raam in the Vaalmeeki Raamaayan,
starting from Ayodhyaa he went right up to Raameshwaram. He found 195 places
which still have the memorials connected to the events narrated in the Raamaayan
relating to the life of Shree Raam and Seetaa. These include Tamasaa Taal (Mandah),
Shringverpur (Singraur), Bharadwaaj Aashram (situated near Allaahaabaad), Atri
Aashram, Maarkandaya Aashram (Maarkundi), Chitrakoot, Pamakuti (on banks of Godaavaree),
Panchvatee, Seetaa Sarovar, Raam Kund in Tryambakeshwar near Naasik, Shabaree Aashram,
Kishkindhaa (village Annagorai), Dhanushkoti and Rameshwaram temple.
Bridge Built by Raam
In Vaalmeeki Raamaayan it is mentioned that Shree Raam's army constructed a
bridge over the sea between Raameshwaram and Lankaa. After crossing this
bridge, Shree Raam's army had defeated Raavan. Recently, NASA put pictures
on the Internet of a man-made bridge, the ruins of which are lying submerged
in Palk Strait between Raameshwaram and Shree Lankaa. Recently the Shree
Lankan Government had expressed the desire to develop Seetaa Vaatikaa as a
tourist spot. Shree Lankans believe this was Ashok Vaatikaa where Raavan had
kept Seetaa as a prisoner (in 5076 BC).
Ancestors of Shree Raam
Indian history has recorded that Shree Raam belonged to the Soorya Vansh
and He was the 64th ruler of this dynasty. The names and other relevant
particulars of previous 63 kings are listed in "Ayodhyaa Kaa Itihaas"
written about 80 years ago by Rai Bahadur Sita Raam. Professor Subhash Kak
of Lousiana University, in his book, "The Astronomical Code of the Rig
Ved", has also listed 63 ancestors of Shree Raam who ruled over Ayodhyaa.
Shree Raam's ancestors have been traced out as: Shri Raam, King Dasharath, King
Aja, King Raghu, King Dileep and so on.
From Kashmeer to Kanyaa
Kumaaree and from Bangaal to Gujaraat, everywhere people believe in the
reality of Shree Raam's existence, particularly in the tribal areas of
Himaachal, Raajasthaan, Madhya Pradesh and the North-East. Most of the
festivals celebrated in these areas revolve around the events in the life
of Shree Raam and Shree Krishn.
The events and places related
to the life of Shree Raam and Seetaa are true cultural and social heritage
of every Indian irrespective of caste and creed. Therefore, it is common
heritage. After all, Shree Raam belonged to the period when Prophet Mohammed
or Jesus Christ were not born and Muslim or Christian faiths were unknown to
the world. The words Hindu (resident of Hindustaan) and Indian (resident of
India) were synonymous. India was also known as Bhaarat (land of knowledge)
and Aryavarta (where Aryans live) and Hindustaan (land of "Hindu's" -
derived from word Indus).
Caste System in India
During Raam Raajya, the evils of caste system based on birth were non-existent.
In fact, Maharshi Vaalmeeki is stated to be of Shoodra class (scheduled caste),
still Seetaa lived with him as his adopted daughter after she was banished from
Ayodhyaa. Lav and Kush grew in his Aashram as his disciples. We need to be proud
of the fact that Vaalmeeki was perhaps the first great astronomer and that his
study of planetary configurations has stood the test of times. Even the latest
computer software have corroborated his astronomical calculations, which proves
that he did not commit any error.
Note
Evils of caste system might have been non-existent, but caste system was certainly
there - Guh Nishaad, Shabaree, and the laundryman are the examples found from those
days. There is one example more of cast system in
Uttar Kaand/29 - after
Raam became the King, a Braahman comes to Raam with the dead body of his 5-year
old son that why should his son die? Raam finds a Shoodra doing Tap in His kingdom,
and he kills him immediately.
Shabaree is stated to be belonging to
the Bheel tribe. Shree Raam's army, which succeed in defeating Raavan, was formed by
various tribe from Central and South India. The facts, events and all other details
relating to the life of Shree Raam are the common heritage of all the Indians including
scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, Muslims, Christians, etc. Prophet Mohammad was born
only 1,400 years ago. Jesus Christ was born only 2,000 years back. Gautam Buddha was born
2,600 years back, whereas Raam was born 7,000 years back. Hence, discovering the details
relating to Shree Raam's life would be lot more difficult as destruction caused by floods,
earthquakes and invasions etc., would be far greater. But, should that stop our quest for
learning more about our cultural heritage?
Dating Indian Civilization
As Indians, let us all take pride in the fact that the Indian civilization
is the most ancient civilization today. It is certainly more than 10,000
years old. (see the note below) Therefore, let us reject the story of Aaryan
invasion in India in 1,500 BC as motivated implantation. In fact Max Mueller,
who was the creator of this theory had himself rejected it. Let us admit that
during the British Rule, we were educated in the schools based on Macaulay
school of thinking which believed that everything Indian was inferior and that
entire "Indian literature was not worth even one book rack in England".
If there were similarities in certain features of Indian people and people
from Central Europe, then automatic inference drawn was that the Aaryans coming
from Europe invaded India and settled here. No one dared of thinking in any other
way. Therefore, there is the urgency for the historians and all other intellectuals
to stop reducing Indian history to myth. There is need to gather, dig out, search,
unearth and analyze all the evidences, which would throw more light on ancient
Indian civilization and culture.
This man is saying that Indian
civilization is more than 10,000 years old - and there . I think he has forgotten
a few dates written only in Vaalmeeki Raamaayan --
(1) When Raam was born, Dasharath was 60,000 years old
(2) Raam had come back to Ayodhyaa when He was about 40 years old (exactly
at the age of 39 years of age.
At 13 years - went to Vishwaamitra's Aashram, and since he took Raam ad
Lakshman only for 10 days, He was married also at the same age - while V-Raamaayan
says that Raam was 16 years old and Seetaa was 6 years old when they were married)
They lived 13 years in Ayodhaa after their marriage
They lived 14 years in exile
Thus Raam was about 39-43 years of age - depending up on what age He went
with Vishwaamitra's Aashram
And after this a few years
passed - later after Seetaa Ram ruled for 10,000 years.
SO WHERE ARE THESE YEARS TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION?
Besides this man has accepted the fact that 63 kings had already ruled before Him.
STILL HE SAYS THAT INDIAN HISTORY IS ONLY MORE THAN 10,000 YEARS OLD? Ridiculous.
See also Raam's Age
There is a need for the print
and the electronic media to take note of these facts and create atmosphere
which would motivate our young and educated youth to carry out research and
unearth true facts about the ancient Indian civilization and wisdom and
would also encourage them to put across the results of their research
before the people fearlessly and with a sense of pride.
We all know about Yug
of 5 years, 12 years, 19 years, 1,000 years, 2,700 years, 12,000 years in
addition to 4,320,000 years of Soorya Siddhaant. But there is deliberate
error by assuming all Yug of largest size only. There are unique indicators
of birth date of Raam - 24th Tretaa Yug, Prabhav Samvatsar in both systems
of Pitaamaha and Soorya Siddhaant, 9 generations after Parashurama, 35
generations before Brihadbal killed in Mahaabhaarat war - and there is
planetary position in Vaalmeeki Raamaayan at birth time. Merely eclipses
(in cycles of 18 years 10.5 days) or positions of Saturn-Jupiter will not
calculate old dates - these repeat after 60 years. But long term Yug
indicators uniquely determine date of birth as 11-2-4433 BC (Prabhav
Samvatsar, 24th Tretaa Yug, Sunday).
