Sarg 67-Kumbhkarn Vadh

Vaanar started coming back with trees and rocks and hit Kumbhkarn with them. Seeing this Kumbhkarn got very angry and he dropped many Vaanar on the ground. They were 8,700 Vaanar. He started eating them. Seeing this Dwivid picked a huge rock and hit him with it, but it also dropped down as it touched Kumbhkarn's body. This rock ground many Raakshas under its weight; chariots, elephants etc also got destroyed. Dwivid threw another rock which killed Kumbhkarn's Saarathee and horses and wounded Kumbhkarn too.

Now all Vaanar started hitting him with trees and rocks. Kumbhkarn shattered them all with his trident. He ran with his trident on Vaanar, so Hanumaan came and stood with a huge rock in front of him. Neel and Hanumaan were fighting with him but he was very mighty. Vaanar started getting hurt after a while, so they went to Raam.

Then Angad came to rescue. He hit Kumbhkarn with a rock which wounded him, so he ran towards Angad but Angad again hit him in his chest. Kumbhkarn got unconscious. On gaining consciousness, he threw his trident at Angad, but Hanuman caught it in between and broke it. This trident weighed 1,000 Bhaar iron. Then Kumbhkarn hit Sugreev with a peak of Malaya Parvat. Sugreev fell on the ground. Raakshas got very happy to see that.

One Bhaar's weight has been given from between more than 200  pounds to more than 600 ponds
Malaya Parvat was in India, how Kumbhkarn took its peak?

Kumbhkarn lifted him up and took him to Lankaa. Hanumaan thought, "If I get him freed then it will defame Sugreev, so let me wait for him to come back because he cannot be under the control of any Devtaa, Asur, or Naag etc in spite of being caught by them", so, in the meantime, he started gathering his army.

As Kumbhkarn was taking Sugreev to Lankaa, Raakshas were showering flowers on him. After a while Sugreev got his consciousness back, he thought as what he should do. He thought he should do something which pleases Vaanar. So he started scratching Kumbhkarn's body with his nails. He cut his ears. Kumbhkarn got wet with blood, he got scared too so he dropped him. Sugreev flew away in the sky and came to Raam. Kumbhkarn came back to fight and started killing Vaanar and eating them.

Now Lakshman came and started showering arrows on him, but he failed Lakshman's arrows. Kumbhkarn said - "Your might is admirable, but I want to fight with Raam. I will win this war by killing Him." Lakshman said smiling - "He is sitting here like an immovable Parvat." Hearing this, he ran towards Raam. Raam shot three arrows at him. Blood flowed from his body. He picked a huge rock and threw it on Raam. Raam shattered it by His arrows.

Then Lakshman asked His chief Vaanar to climb on Kumbhkarn's body, so many Vaanar climbed up his body. Kumbhkarn started saving his body and killing Vaanar. Now Raam came forward with Lakshman and shot an arrow at him. Then He cut his both hands and feet. At this he opened his mouth, Raam immediately filled his mouth with His arrows. After this Raam used Brahmaastra. It cut his head and destroyed the boundary wall and palaces situated nearby. His body fell in the sea. Devtaa got very happy to see Kumbhkarn dead.

Sarg 68-Raavan's Vilaap

Now Raakshas got very frightened, they went to Raavan and told everything to him. They said - "First Raam cut his both hands and feet, then shot an arrow which cut his head and threw his body in sea." Hearing this Raavan got unconscious. Raavan's sons Devaantak, Naraantak, Trishiraa etc started crying on their uncle's death. Mahodar etc also got very sad.

When Raavan gained consciousness, he cried a lot - "Kumbhkarn, You left me alone. Without you I am like a dead person. You were my right hand, I always had faith in you so I did not fear even Devtaa, Gandharv etc. You were not even hurt by the hit of Indra's Vajra, then how come you were killed by Raam's arrow. Do you see that Devtaa, Gandharv etc are happy to see you lying on the ground? Enemy's army will take control our fort today. When my brother has gone, then what I will do of my kingdom and Seetaa? If I cannot kill the killer of my brother, then my death is better, because I cannot live without my brother even for a moment. Whatever Vibheeshan said to me, the same is happening. Now I am thinking that I have to see all this because of exiling Vibheeshan."
