Sarg 4-Raam Starts for War

Hearing Hanumaan's description of Lankaa Raam, said - "I will win Lankaa, I tell you. Now Soorya Dev is in the middle in the sky, this is the good time for victory. So let us start now in this auspicious period. Raavan cannot live after abducting Seetaa. Seetaa will also be hoping to be saved after hearing about my departure from here. Hey Sugreev, Uttaraa-Phaalgunee Nakshatra will be with Hast Nakshatra tomorrow, that is why we should start today only. Besides I am observing some good omens which indicate that I will get Jaanakee after killing Raavan. My right eye is twitching which indicates that I will get Jaanakee soon.

Now Neel will go as our pilot to our army along with 100,000 Vaanar. Hey Neel, You take our army on the way on which there are lots of fruits, roots, cool water and honey. If Raakshas, anyhow try to poison them, so you always be on their guard. Whoever is not mighty enough must stay back, because we need only very mighty army.

Gaj, Gavaya, and Gavaaksh will lead the army. Rishabh will protect our army from south side. Gandhmaadan will protect it from left side. And I will ride Hanumaan as Indra rides His Airaavat elephant and will go in the middle encouraging everybody in my army. Lakshman will ride Angad as Kuber rides on his Saarvbhaum named elephant. Let Jaambvaan, Sushen and Vegdarshee named Vaanar should protect the middle part of the army." Thus He ordered everybody to move and they started moving.

Raam duly treated by Sugreev and Lakshman moved towards south with His army. At that time Vaanar were seen all around. All Vaanar were going jumping, dancing, singing, towards south. They were eating fruits and honey on their way. They had broken branches of trees and they were shaking them all around.

Some Vaanar lifts another Vaanar and throws him, some Vaanar hits another one on the ground, others climb on the fallen ones, some come and say to Raam "We will kill Raavan along with his all Raakshas." Thus Raam's army was moving.

Rishabh, Neel and Kumud paved the way for the army. Brave Shatabalee was protecting that army with his 100 million (10 Crores) Vaanar. Keasaree, Panas and Gaj were protecting it with one billion (100 Crores) Vaanar. Under the leadership of Sugreev Sushen and Jaambvaan were guarding the army from back side. Brave Neel was keeping all of them in order. Baleemukh, Prajangh, Jambh and Rajas were encouraging monkeys to move forward from all sides.

The Vaanar leading the army saw Sahya Parvat, lakes full of flowers and ponds in front of them. The whole army was moving with a roaring sound of ocean.

At this time Raam and Lakshman seemed like eclipsed Sun and Moon by two large planets, Jupiter and Venus. Lakshman, sitting on Angad, said to Raam - "I am observing good omens. You will surely safely return to Ayodhyaa after killing Raavan and bringing Seetaa back. Venus (born from Sage Bhrigu - a mind-born son of Brahmaa) is shining behind you.

Our ancestors, Dhruv and Trishanku stars are shining very bright without any obstacle. Vishaakhaa star is also shining clearly. While Raakshas' Mool Nakshatra are afflicted by Dhoomraketu. All this is happening for destruction of Raakshas."

Because of Vaanar's walking there was lot of dust in the sky. It covered the Sun. Whenever they crossed any river its stream used to flow backwards for several Yojan so that the army could travel through it. All Vaanar were very happy. They didn't stop anywhere n their way. They came to Sahya Parvat. Raghunaath was going looking at rivers, mountains, river sources, streams on His way. Vaanar were eating Champak, Tilak, mango, Prasek, Sindhuvaar, Tinash, cucumber, Ashok, Karanj, Pluksh, Peepal (a holy tree of India), Jaamun and Aamalaa (a kind of berry fruit trees) tree fruits and roots.

Many kinds of flowers were spreading their scent around to please Vaanar - like Ketakee, Sindhuvaar, Maadhavee, lemon-colored Kund, Bilva, Madhook, Banjul, Bakul, Ranjak, Tilak, Naag tree, mango, Paatlaa, Kovidaar, Muchulind, Arjun, Shinshapaa, Kutan, Hintaal, Tinash, Choornak, Neepak, Neel, Ashok, Saral, Ankol, Padmak.

Chakavaa, Kaarandav, cranes, Kraunch (crane) etc. birds'; boar's, deer's, lions', elephants' sounds were echoing. Vaanar used to take bath in ponds in which lotuses were blooming, they drank honey, and then proceeded on their way.

Now all came to Mahendra Parvat. Raam climbed on the Parvat and looked at the sea full of fishes, alligators and tortoises. Then they crossed Sahya and Malay Parvat and arrived at the sea shore. Raam along with Lakshman and Sugreev climbed down the Parvat and stood in the woodland near the sea. Raam said to Sugreev - "Now we have arrived at the abode of Varun, on the shore of the sea, so tell us how to cross it. Without any proper means it looks impossible to cross it. You order your army to wait here, in the meantime we will hold a meeting to think over it."

Sugreev made the arrangements of all Vaanar, including Lakshman, to stay there. So all army stayed there. They divided themselves among three sections (bears, long-tailed monkeys and monkeys) and went to the Van which was on one side. Their army was seemed like another ocean beside the water ocean. The ocean was very large and fearful. It looked liked the sky and the sky looked like the ocean. And both looked alike without any distinction.
