Sarg 35-Sumantra Also Tries

Sumantra, rubbing his hand, grinding his teeth, sighing again and again said to Kaikeyee angrily - "You have proved yourself as a husband-killer and destroyer of a family by leaving your husband. You have made an ideal, truthful. unconquerable good character king sad through cheating. It is not good for you, because he is your husband, protector and Swaamee. For women, the will of their husbands is  superior than that of 10 million sons. Kingdom is obtained by the eldest son of the king after the death of that king. Let your Bharat rule this kingdom, we will go there wherever Raam will go.

And the way you are behaving, no Braahman will live in your kingdom. We will follow the same path on which Raam will go. Kaikeyee, What pleasure will you get getting sovereignty when nobody will live here? I am really sad that because of your behavior this ground doesn't get ripped off. A Neem tree cannot change its nature even if you nurture it with milk. You must have learned all these things from your mother. Neem tree does not ooze honey.

Once your father had got power through Var to understand the language of all living beings. At one time he was sleeping on the bed that he heard a sound of an ant called Jrimbha and started laughing and laughed repeatedly. Your mother asked him the reason of his laughing. Your father said - "Don't ask that otherwise I will die."

In spite of hearing that your mother said - "You may die, but tell me the reason of your laughing. He repeatedly refused to tell it but she didn't listen to it. At last Raajaa told everything to that Var-giver sage but the sage told him not to tell her. Then your father had to scold your mother and he lived happily. Kaikeyee, don't be so rude. Do as Raajaa says, protect him, don't let him go on a wrong path before public. Whatever promise Raajaa made, he cannot change it (only you can change it), so you ask him to get up and perform Tilak ceremony of Raam. If Raam went to forest you will be accused for this. Public will hate you. So you stop Raam going to forest and keep your respect." Thus Sumantra tried his best to revert her decision, but Kaikeyee didn't change her mind.

Sarg 36-A Minister Also Takes a Chance 

When Kaikeyee didn't change her mind, Raajaa Dasharath said to Sumantra - "Get my Chaturanginee army ready to go with Raam. Get beautiful maidservants to go with Raam. They will go in front of Raam singing in their sweet voice. Send some warriors of Raam's liking with weapons, carriers to carry loads. My all treasure should be with Raam in forest. Make such arrangements that my Raam should not feel any difficulty there. He can spend His time happily by distributing gifts, preying on deer and elephants, seeing rivers and mountains. Ayodhyaa will be taken care by Bharat."

Hearing this Kaikeyee got worried, she spoke angrily - "When you are giving all treasure and public to Raam then will Bharat rule on empty Ayodhyaa? Bharat does not need such kingdom." Dasharath said - "Because you have controlled me through Var that is why I am sending Raam to forest and giving throne to Bharat, still you are troubling me. Did you ask this also in your Var that Raam should be sent to forest empty-handed?" Hearing this Kaikeyee got angrier and said - "In your Vansh, only Raajaa Sagar sent his son Asmanjas to forest. I want to send Raam to forest in the same way."

Dasharath got very sad and other people also felt embarrassed hearing this, but Kaikeyee could not understand anything. There was sitting an old minister named Siddhaarth, he said to Kaikeyee - "Asmanjas used to catch small children and throw them in Sarayoo River and when they started drowning he laughed at them. Public complained about this to Raajaa so for the welfare of public Raajaa exiled him. And he lived on hills. But Raam has not committed any such crime, still He is being sent to forest, and if there is any fault of Raam, then tell us. Whoever punishes any innocent, he himself gets destroyed, therefore Devtaa don't do such injustice. So be glorious by ordering to perform His Abhishek."

Dasharath said - "O Kaikeyee, If you do not hear Siddhaarth then you cannot think about yourself and myself. I will leave my kingdom, happiness, and wealth; you enjoy this kingdom for long time together with Bharat as king.
