Tidbits About MBH-1

Vaishampaayan Jee narrated the epic MBH to Janamejaya, 84 years after the MBH war.
Pareekshit died at the age of 60,
Janamajeya was 16 at the time of the death of his father, 28 at the time of starting of his Sarp Yagya or older (minimum 28, because the Yagya was in its 12th year when Aasteek came in, so Janamajaya was minimum 40 aka 84 years at minimum, though Janamajaya was the grandfather at that time, so he might be a little older than 84 years, say 90 years, may have elapsed.

Assuming that the central tenets of the story and original narrator to be correct, Vaishampaayan Jee has to be exceedingly long lived to be an alert 100+ plus years old to be remembering 24,000 verses, let alone 100,000 (1 Lakh) though he does confess that his classmate Asit had remembered 150,000 (15 Lakh) verses.

Pareekshit's line of kings soon left Hastinaapur and set up capital in Vatsa because Hastinaapur was drowned by Gangaa.
