Episode 95
Digvijaya Kills Chandragupt and Connection With Internal Security
Amaatya explained Digvijaya not to help Chandragupt. He said - "By helping Chandragupt, you are planning to attack Magadh. This is not correct. Do not lie. If you act intelligently, then the whole scene will be changed in a moment and even your luck will also be changed. Today Magdh is your enemy, but think if the same Magadh becomes your friend? If we start considering you a trusted friend, then? You will become an important King from a Prince."
Digvijaya thought for a moment and said - "What will I have to do for this?"
Amaatya - "Only a small job. You join us and kill Chandragupt."
"But he is my friend, I cannot deceive him. I am with him."
When we know that you are the friend of Chandragupt, Magad will destroy you wholly, so either you destroy yourself or join Magadh. And this offer will also not wait for unending period. Tomorrow you are going for hunting, so either kill him there, otherwise I will have to take some drastic step.

On the other side Shashaank was playing dice game with Chaturaanan in the bar. He was making him lose everything. He wanted to close the game that a dancer (Shashaank's companion) came and gave him some money to play the game again. He played the game and won. This time Shashaank said - "At least give a chance to the loser to win." Shashaank put his all gold on stake. Chaturaanan said - ":If you won, then my everything is yours, but if you lose your all gold is mine and you will be my slave. And this game you will play with my own dice." Chaturaanan lost and got unconscious because of drinking too much liquor.

Chaturaanan was tied to a pole. Shashaank brought Ahiryaa there. Ahiryaa said - "I am a trader. If you accept my scheme - give me what I want from your store, I can do some trading with them. Whatever things I will take from your store, I will give you similar things back, for example, if I will take 400 horses, I will give you 400 horses back and whatever money I will earn, I will give its 1/4th money to you."
"I agree." Chaanakya said - "Now we will have Magadh's best horses and we will give our useless horses to Magadh.

Next day Digvijaya and Chandragupt went for hunting. After reaching some distance Digvijaya said - "I am not feeling well, it seems that I have some fever." Chandragupt asked him to stay there and went to bring some herb. Digvijaya kept his arrow to kill Chandragupt, but Chandra saw him, so he stopped. The then Chandragupt saw a snake coming towards Digvijaya, so he threw his dagger and killed the snake. Whe Digvijaya knew it, he said - "Today I have become indebted to you for saving my life." Chandragupt kept his hand on his body and he seemed all right. He said - "You are all right." Digvijaya said - "Now when I have made up my mind, my fever is also gone."

Digvijaya called Amaatya and Amaatya and his soldiers surrounded them from all around. Chandragupt got stunned seeing Amaatya and his soldiers there, he exclaimed - "What is this Digvijaya?" Digvijaya said - "Amaatya is right. I do  not want my destruction. I cannot fight with Magadh. Forgive me my friend, I have taken my decision." and he pierced his dagger in Chandragupt's stomach. "I had to do all this for my kingdom." He hit the dagger several times and pushed him in a dry well. Amaatya did not want to take any chance, so he lit a torch and threw it in the well. The fire blazed up soon from those dry leaves.

Thus Chandragupt died once more in the eyes of Magadh.

Amaatya came back to Paataliputra and when he told this news to Nand, he got extremely happy. he ordered to celebrate Vasantotsav in a very high esteem. Amaatya reminded him - "We still have Chaanakya, Mahaaraaj."
Nand said - "Forget him, what can he do without Chandragupt. Now all people will know that whoever raises his head before Nand, it is severed. But just tell me if this is true that Chandragupt has been killed."
Amaatya - "This is all true as I myself have burnt him in the well."
Nand - "We have Vasantotsav after 4 days, celebrate it in a great esteem."
As Durdharaa heard this she broke into tears.

Episode 96
Durdharaa said - "It cannot be."
Amaatya was standing nearby, he said - "He is dead. I have seen him dying with my own eyes, and I have burnt him with my own hands. Now you forget him. I have not told your father anything about you. I have seen you growing from the childhood and I have loved you very much. I am not your enemy, I am your well-wisher. Gather yourself and forgetting everything of past you should look forward."
Durdharaa said - "I love Chandragupt, I can never forget him. You are not trying to understand. Nobody can stop me loving him, neither you, nor my father, nor Chaanakya."

Shashaank and Ahiryaa asked Chaturaanan to admit some of their people in his department, but Chaturaanan was feeling difficulty in doing this. He told Ahiryaa that he had heard the rumor that Chandragupt can attack on Paataliputra anytime. But unfortunately an announcement was made that "Chandragupt has been killed in Asaakya kingdom."
Shashaank and Ahiryaa were extremely sad hearing this public news, but Chaturaanan said - "Yes, Now I can do anything you want. Since Chadragupt has been killed so emergency situation will also be over. Now you tell me how many soldiers you want me to appoint in the army."

Chaanakya was already sick for some time. On that when Badar Bhatt gave him some medicine to drink, the pot fell down from his hands. Shashaank and Ahiryaa came there and they broke the news in a very sad mood that Chandragupt was killed.
Chaanakya said - "Digvijaya will deceive us, it was correct. What happened to our people joining the army of Chaturaanan."  "It will be done."
Chaanakya said - "There is no other effective weapon in the war than to make the enemy inattentive and careless. Chandragupt is the Yug Purush (Man of the Time). He is very important in history. He cannot die without doing his assignment."
Digvijaya had saved Chandragupt, so Chandragupt admired him a lot

Badar Bhatt asked - "So you knew beforehand that Amaatya would go there."
Chaanakya said - "When the drums are beaten, animals run away, but human beings come near to them."

Chandragupt was actually listening the conversation between Amaatya and Digvijaya. After the Amaatya had gone, Digvijaya gave him a Kavach (armor) to put on before going for hunting and a bag of the blood to tie under his Kavach. Thus it was all fake. And when Chadragupt was pushed in the well, it was also preplanned. there was a tunnel in that well through which Chandragupt escaped after falling in the well.

Planning to Kill Dhanaa Nand on Vasantotsav Day
After a while Digvijaya received a message from Pataliputra, from Nand. Nand had invited him as a chief guest on Vasantotsav day.
Digvijaya thought - "Let us be ready to make some noise in that Utsav too."

Chaanakya said - "When the whole Magadh will be happy with the celebrations, we will attack him. We will send especially Chandragupt with the special people of Digvijaya and when Nand will inaugurate the Utsav, at the same time Chandragupt will aim and our people will break the happiness. Everybody will be deluded and till they will understand what had happened we would control Paataliputra."

Chandragupt had come to Paataliputra with Digvijaya, he said to him - "I will see you on the previous night of the Utsav." He came to Chaanakya. Chaanakya said - "On this Vasantotsav, we have to kill Nand, and we have to make sure that we are killing Dhanaa Nand only. Do you remember your first effort to kill Dhanaa Nand? When you had killed him, he said - "I have my 9 forms more."
Chandragupt said - "But how we will be sure that the person whom we are killing is real Nand, and not the duplicate?"
Chaanakya said - "For this we will have to find out his all the duplicates before the Utsav."

Ahiryaa took Chaitanya to Chaturaanan and asked him to mix him  among your security soldiers. Chaturaanan did that. As they were going back, Bhadrasaal was hiding somewhere. He saw both of them going.

Bhadrasaal said - "So Shashaank and Ahiryaa must have made Chaturaanan drink liquor, it means conspiracy, and all this cannot without the help of Chaanakya. It means Chaanakya should also be here around. Even after Chandragupt's killing they have not been quiet" So he followed Shashaank and Ahiryaa. Ahiryaa warned Shashaank that he had a feel that somebody was following them, so they went somewhere else.

Episode 97
Nand welcomed Digvijaya and offered him a lots of gold.
Chandragupt said - "So how to search for those 8 duplicate Nand."
Chaanakya said - "This is very important to know. Information is knowledge, it gives not only strength of our policies but also the basis of the policies. Even great results are changed with it. We have a few spies in the palace, they are working on this line."

Meghaa said to one of her helpers (other maids) - "One of you give liquor to Chaturaanan and try to know everything abut the duplicates of Nand. And others also should catch hold other key persons and try to dig out this information."
Chandragupt asked - "But how we will make sure that only real Nand should come in the Utsav? And if we even kill all those duplicates, Amaatya will know it."
Chaanakya said - "You mark them in such a way that you should know his realty as soon as you see him, that who is real and who is duplicate."
Chandragupt asked - "When will know about them?"
Chaanakya replied - "Tonight. Only 4 days remain in Vasantotsav, there must be no mistake, otherwise we do not know when we will get such a good opportunity to kill him from such a close place"
Chaanakya's spies sent the message that Nand's 8 duplicates were living in a house, Sankalya Kutee, near Chaupaal.

Here Bhadrasaal was busy in searching for Chaanakya. Chandragupt saw him, so he thought that he should take him far from that place otherwise he would find Chaanakya. So he came to in front of him. It was a strange scene - both were dead in the eyes of Magadh, but were still alive. Chandragupt said - "What I want to do, I can do that after being declared myself as dead, but now Nand will not trust you."
Bhadrasaal said - "He will do that when I will take your dead body to him."
Chandragupt said - "But how will you go there? When I will let you go, then only you can go there."
Both had a good fight.
In between, Chandra said - "I am going to Raaj Griha to bring my army, if you can catch me, catch."

Chandragupt Finds Duplicate Nand
The then one Nand came out of a nearby house and said to Chandragupt - "Forgive me, Friend. I was practicing on this spear that I lost control and this came here. I hope you are not hurt." and he went away. Chandragupt kept looking at him.

Chaanakya took Chandragupt for a stroll outside the town. Chandragupt asked - "Aachaarya, Why do you so much stress on strolling outside in open places."
Chaanakya said - "Chandragupt, These are always our teachers, we just have to see them with some attentive mind. When you are troubled, your knowledge about the nature removes those troubles." Chaanakya showed him a shrub which was full of thorns and said to him - "See, this shrub has so many thorns. Its one thorn is very poisonous. If you pierce one thorn to somebody, within 3 days purple patches will appear on his body, within a month they will serious and within 3 months they will be fatal."
Chandragupt plucked some thorns from that shrub and set off towards Sankalya Kutee where those Nand's duplicates were living.
Chandragupt came to the same Sankalya Kutee and aimed those thorns to all duplicates of Nand. There he came to know that one Nand was still lacking there - Ugrasen and he was in prison.

Bhadrasaal was still struggling to search Chandragupt and Chaanakya. He thought after all this Chandragupt is the disciple of Chaanakya. Whatever he would say, he would not do it like Chaanakya. Maybe he has not gone to Raaj Griha at all. let us go there where we saw him last. So they came at the same place where they left him last. There they found Chandragupt's footprints. They followed them, but they were going towards north while if Chandragupt had gone to Raaj Griha, those footprints should have gone towards east. They followed them and came to a house. Why Chandragupt has come here, where is he? We have to find out this.

Chandragupt reported this to Chaanakya. Chaanakya said - "Spies cannot do it, Digvijaya cannot do it, you cannot enter the palace before the fixed time. he also told him that Bhadrasaal was also alive. Chaanakya consoled him - "Don't worry, Let the time come, I will tell you what is to be done of him. You focus on your own mission. We have to take out that duplicate."
The then Meghaa came there with a special pot which was made of Jastaa metal. He wanted this metal to use to make Agni Samaayog weapon which could burn everything nearby in one moment. She brought it from Durdharaa's bathroom. This metal was not common and its pots were found only with rich people. This metal was available in Far Eastern countries. Chaanakya used that pot to make that weapon and tested it also. Now Magadh will be forced to kneel down to us. Chaanakya sent a message to Digvijaya through Meghaa. Bhadrasaal followed her.

Durdharaa Knows Chandragupt is Alive
When Durdharaa was very sad hearing Chandragupt's death news, Meghaa suggested her to distribute food to hungry and money to poor. So both Durdharaa and Meghaa went out to do this. Meghaa took that pot at that time and asking leave from Durdharaa to see her old friend, she came to Chaanakya to give that pot. In the meantime Durdharaa saw Chandragupt on the road, she was stunned to see him alive. she went to him and talked to him. She showed her love to him and went away.

Bhadrasaal guessed that Chandragupt must be planning to attack on Nand, but where and how? At the same time an announcement was made that Asaakya Prince will be honored because he had killed Chandragupt (while Chandragupt was still alive). It means that this Digvijaya is also in this conspiracy. He asked his men to give him the full details of the program of Nand of that day.
