Episode 38
Chandragupt Looks For His Mother in Mines
When Dadheechi and Chandragupt were proceeding in the cave, that a large stone came rolling down so they both ran away from there. The cave was dismantling. They both fell in water. When they looked up, they found that Baalee, Shashaank and Digvijaya were standing there. Baalee asked Chandragupt - "Have you dug the tunnel there?" Nobody spoke. Baalee pulled them out of the water. Dadheechi said - "We were only digging there." Baalee said - "You are only deceiving Kaaravee. I know it very well." Baalee started beating Chandragupt to speak the truth.

At the same time Amaatya came there. Baalee hesitated to see Amaatya there, so he changed the topic - "Welcome Amaatya Jee, Some prisoners do not want to work properly, so I have to teach them a lesson." Chandragupt was still in search of his mother so he was looking here and there. He saw his mother among the female prisoners and he saw the leader also pushing her towards work. In the meantime Baalee took out his dagger and wanted to kill him, that Chandragupt spoke - "First you should think of a reason to kill me before you kill me. What will you say if Kaaravee will ask you that why did you kill Chandragupt? And you must understand this that you cannot get the Royal Treasury without my help." Hearing this Baalee kept his dagger inside.

One spy told Kaaravee that the information was true and confirmed that Nand was coming to ---- He had seen him coming with his own eyes. Kaaravee thought, "Chandragupt was right, otherwise why Nand should come here. So we will have to take out the Royal Treasury out of here before he comes here.

Chandragupt was after the female prisoners, so he asked several women about his mother but he could not find her details. There was a canal nearby, so he sat there to wash his face. He saw her again there drinking water. He wanted to follow her but he saw Amaatya coming that side so he had to stop his action. Amaatya had sent some people to check the Treasury, so he came there to ask about it. One of them told him that Treasury was safe, but its security wall was broken, so it seems that somebody has attempted to go there." Amaatya said - "But only Kaaravee knows about this." he ordered them to go there and keep vigil of that place and kill him if they find somebody doubtful there.

Chandragupt told Kaaravee that he did not tell anything to Baalee because he thought he was responsible to Kaaravee only. He told him that they have found the tunnel. Kaaravee said - "Then what is the problem. Why not to rob it today in the night. What is your plan?" Chandragupt said - "No, not tonight. We need some time. Our plan is that we will put that gold in a dirt pit and from there your carts will take it out of the minefields." Kaaravee assured him that he would work as Chandragupt had suggested. He said - "But this work should finish in three days time, because Nand has to reach Pataliputra on the day of Kaumudee Festival, because there he is going to give life sentence to some Braahman." and Kaaravee went away.

Chaanakya's New Plan, Nand Comes to Lokhandee
After Kaaravee left, Chandragupt's friends asked him - "Why did you tell him your plan?"
Chandragupt replied - "There was no alternative. But I am sure that Aachaarya must have some other plan."

Purush Datt, Badar Bhatt and Chaanakya came at the Mining Field asking for alms - "Bhikshaam Dehi." Chaanakya said. The person tried to give him some Pan (currency) but Chaanakya shouted - "If we needed only Pan then why should we come here. I need only one stone from among these stones. We want to carv a statue of Bhagvaan out of it." These stones belong to Magadh, I cannot give you these stones to you." Chaanakya again shouted at him - "Do you want to go to Hell by not giving the alms to a Braahman" "Oh. no, no.:" And he gave one stone to Chaanakya. Chaankaya ordered Purush Datt and Badar Bhatt to take that stone and take it to his dwelling place.

Dhanaanand also came to Mining fields.
Chaanakya was doing some Poojaa which is done after the death of somebody, so Purush Datt asked him - "Aachaarya, Who has died?"
Chaankaya said - "Chitraroopaa has died. Nand has arrived here and now the war has begun. Now it is our turn. Badar Bhatt, You go and bring that stone. Chandragupt has sent some message on it."
Badar Bhatt brought the stone. Seeing it Purush Datt asked - "Aachaarya, You were saying that Chandragupt has sent some message but I don't see it on this stone."
Chaanakya said - "It is there, but only you cannot see it."
Chaanakya poured some water on the stone and the message came out visible. Chandragupt had written - "Our all plans have failed to obtain the Treasury, tell us some new plan."
Chaanakya ordered his disciples to make some arrangement to send the message to Chandragupt. But how?

Kaaravee asked Nand - "Brother, You did  not send any information about your coming here?"
Nand said - "Yes, Actually I myself wante to keep it secret, just to give surprise. But still you made so good arrangement here for our welcome. How did you get this information? From your secret spies?"
Kaaravee said - "What to do, when Raaj Neeti comes in between brothers, then Koot Neet has to be used. But why did you come?"
Nand said - "Actually we heard about the agitation in Loh Khandee, so I had to come, because our Royal Treasury was here, if somebody robbed it, then?"
Kaaravee said - "But you have given the responsibility of the Royal Treasury to Amaatya. So if anything wrong happens to the Treasury, Amaatya is responsible for that." Kaaravee further said - "I have organized a 3-day celebration in your honor." Nand said - "But first we will see our Treasury then something else."

Some people were carrying stones inside the Mining area, that Purush Datt came in front and shouted - "Where are you going insulting a Braahman? if you will insult him ,like this you will have to go to Hell." He was talking to them like this that in the meantime Badar Bhatt tied a message in the cart's axle. Both went from there. Chandragupt was on look out for Chaanakya's message. As the cart stopped and the laborors took the stones from it, he took out the message of Chaanakya. He wrote - "According to Vaastu Shaastra, when the tunnels are dug, some Vaataayan (skylights - something to breathe inside the earth) are also built. So search for those Vaataayan. In the meantime arrange some grass rope. Set fire on its one end it will give rise to so much smoke that Nand will feel that the fire is set in the Treasury. He will try to take his gold out the treasury. As he will load all his gold in the cart and order it to take out of the mining field, you take control of it and bring it to the Hans Peak. After that I will take care of that. But remember you do this on the previous night of Kaumudee Festival. We have only 4 days for it."

Episode 39
Chaanakya Plans to Take the Gold out of the Mining Area
Chandragupt asked Dadheechi - "When you dig the tunnels how did you breathe inside?" Dadheechi told him that they used to build Vaataayan there to breathe. Chandragupt asked his friends to make arrangements of Kumbhee grass. "Why Kumbhee grass?" Chandragupt told them that Kumbhee grass gave lots of smoke at burning. His friends asked - "Why Aachaary chose only Kaumudee day. Everybody knows that Kaumudee day is the coldest day of the year." Chandragupt said - Maybe, nobody will doubt on us on that day." Now Chandragupt was worried about his mother. he had not met his mother till now. And after 3 days they will be out of this Mining field. Dighvijaya said - "Don't worry Chandragupt, We will find your mother and take her out of here along with us."

He also said - "As the plan is - if you cannot take Treasury when it is inside, then take it out and get it; in the same way, if you cannot get your mother inside, take all prisoners out and get your mother out. I have seen there is a big drum outside the Mining fields. when they want everybody out of there they beat that drum. I will manage to beat that drum and everybody will come out then you can find your mother." Chandragupt got relieved.

Nand was not comfortable with Kaaravee's 3-day celebrations. Amaatya assured him that he need not to worry about the treasury Amaatya being there.

At the same time all heard the sound of beating of the big drum. In fact it was beaten at some emergency. So hearing it all prisoners started coming out of the field and others also wanted to check as what had happen in the fields. Nand also came out with them. Chandragupt could not see his mother among those prisoners,  but he saw Nand and Amaatya. Then he found Nand holding one woman and that woman was his mother. He recognized her. Nand was saying - "See this woman, her son wanted to kill me, but I have killed him, but I will kill her slowly." He went out of control and he threw a stone at Nand. It hit him and he bled from his forehead. Kaaravee and Amaatya ran towards Nand saying, "What happened, what happened?"

In the meantime Muraa ran away from there. Chandragupt again tried to search her but he could not find her. Nand was angry at this incident. Amaatya was angry at Kaaravee's arrangements. Kaaravee said to his brother Nand - "All this has happened on your order, because you are jealous with me." Nand said - "You are a fool. Do you think that I will hit me myself? I can kill anybody anytime." Kaaravee smiling said - "If you think that you are so mighty, then why did you create the agitation in Tapolee? So that you can rob your own Royal Treasury yourself?" Nand said angrily - "If you have not been the unwanted mistake, I would have killed long before. Take him and put him in the jail." and thus Kaaravee was sent to jail.

Chandragupt was sad that he could not meet his mother but his friends assured him that they would find her before going out of the Mining fields.

Dadheechi reported to Chandragupt that he had found 5 Vaataayan. Baalee told them that Kaaravee has been imprisoned. Chandragupt asked him Kumbhee grass giving him the reason that if somebody would see then there they could run away from there after setting it on fire. It will give so much smoke that they could easily run away hiding in that smoke. He asked them to come on the top at night of the hill carefully as Nand's guards were spread all over.

Purush Datt told Chaanakya that Kaaravee has been imprisoned. Chaanakya said - "Kaaravee's imprisonment is not good for us, because Nand will try to see him there. And when they will meet there, there will be arguments, and during that time Kaaravee could speak the truth and open the secret that it was all our plan. Guessing of anything is difficult, that is why you keep an eye on Mining field and inform me about all the developments moment by moment."

Chandragupt and his friends went to the top of hill and got the Kumbhee grass. Nand's guards saw them, so they all got scattered. Dadheechi was with Chandragupt, but was a little behind, so he was caught. Chandragupt hid in a cave, it was Muraa's cave. Both could not see each other. Guards asked her if she saw somebody running away from there, she said, "No". They also went away and Chandragupt also went away from there.

Dadheechi is Arrested, Baalee is Killed
Dadheechi was taken to Amaatya. Amaatya remembered something.
Amaatya said to Dadheechi - "When the Treasury was buried at three places, a special group of dwarves was called. After that all dwarves were killed and buried outside. One dwarf's body was not found, so it seems that you ran away. Chaanakya knew it and he used you to rob Royal Treasury. So now you will tell me the whole truth or shall I severe your head from your body?"
Dadheechi told them that Chandragupt would rob the Treasury on the previous night of Kaumudee celebrations and would take it to Hans Peak and will meet Chaanakya there. This plan was of Chaanakya and from inside Chandragupt is carrying out it.
"Chandragupt? It means he is still alive?"
"Yes, He is alive. It was he only who agitated the people of Tapolee."
Amaaatya put him in prison for further investigations that who was helping them from inside the mining fields..

Baalee came in the prison and got surprised to see Dadheechi there. He got him freed saying that he has talked to Amaatya. The then Amaatya came there and he saw this that Baalee was taking Dadheechi out of the prison. He ordered to kill Baalee and then asked his people to find Muraa and bring her to him. He warned them that all this should be utter secret.

Chandragupt's friends told him that Baalee has been killed and Dadheechi's whereabouts are not known. Chandragupt said - "We cannot go back from here after coming so far." Digvijaya said - "I don't know about this but we are so much sure that we will not go back without taking your mother." So all came to that cave where Chandragupt once hid himself. His mother was there but they could not see her, the then King's soldiers came and took her from there to Nand.
