Sarg 34-Saramaa Brings News from Raavan

Thus Saramaa pleased Seetaa with her cool sweet words. She further said - "I wan to go to Raam secretly to tell Him about you and bring His news back to you. I fly very fast. Even the Garud and Vaayu cannot catch me." Seetaa said - "You can go in Aakaash, you can go in Paataal, then do my one work. Please let me know that what Raavan is doing after going from here. He cheats me with his Maayaa, he tortures me through Raakshasee, I live in Ashok Vaatikaa, still I am sad and scared. So tell me about Raavan's decisions and any decision about me. I will be grateful to you."

Saramaa said - "OK, Then I go and bring enemy's news back to you" and she went away. She heard all conversation of Raavan with his ministers and came back to Seetaa. Seetaa herself spread an Aasan for her to sit on, hugged her and asked the news. Saramaa said - "His mother and his old minister insisted a lot to him to send you back to Raam respectfully, but Raavan doesn't want to leave you, as a greedy man doesn't leave money. They said - "Janasthaan fight is enough example for you, besides crossing the sea, seeing Seetaa in Ashok Vaatikaa and killing so many Raakshas by Hanumaan, can any human being do that?" He will not leave you without dying in war, that is his decision."

Sarg 34-Maalyavaan's Advice to Raavan

Lankaa people were hearing the sound of Bheree from Raam's army. Raavan thought for a minute, then said to his ministers - "I have heard everything - Raam's crossing the sea, His might etc whatever you have said to me. I have known your bravery and might from past fights, but why do I find you quiet hearing Raam's bravery and might?"

At this the old Raakshas Maalyavaan, Raavan's maternal grandfather said - "Hey Raajan, A king who is so knowledgeable, so polite and follows justice, only he can rule the Prithvi for long time and can control his enemies. Who develops friendship and enmity according to the time, he favors his own side and he prospers well. It means that if the enemy is of equal or more power then one should not insult him, rather make him his friend. And if the enemy is weak, then only one should fight with him.

Therefore Hey Raajan, I feel better in making Raam a friend; and for the same reason you should also give Seetaa back to Him. All Devtaa, Gandharv wish for His victory, that is why you should also make Him your friend.

Brahmaa has created both Devtaa and Raakshas whose nature is Dharm and A-Dharm respectively. In Sat Yug Dharm stays and in Kali Yug A-Dharm stays. You have always been with A-Dharm, that is why our enemy, followers of Dharm, are more powerful than you. Your following of A-Dharm is destroying us today. You have developed a kind of fear in Rishi community. Their fire-like grace cannot be suppressed, because their hearts are pure and clean with Tap. They worship Devtaa, do Yagya, and teach Ved properly. They ignore Raakshas and sing Ved. The grace of the same Rishi community is burning Raakshas community now.

Whatever Var you have got, that is only for Daanav, Devtaa and Yaksh, but here are humans, monkeys, bears, Langoor. I am visualizing the destruction of Raakshas. Elephants and horses are weeping with tears. Terrible clouds are raining hot blood. All directions have gone dim with dust. Snakes, jackals, vultures are crying. Food assigned for sacrifice is eaten by dogs. Cows are producing donkeys. A shaved-headed and black and yellow complexioned Kaal Purush is keeping watch on all houses."

Maalyavaan guessed that Raavan was not happy with his advice so he got silent after saying this.
