Sarg 108-Bharat Tries Again

Thus Raam consoled His dear brother Bharat in various ways. A Braahman called Jaabaali said politely - " You are the highest among men and and an intelligent Tapaswee, then why do you talk like this? Who is whose brother and who is whose son in this world [means that nobody is anybody's brother and nobody is anybody' son]. Each living being comes alone and goes alone - still if somebody loves somebody, considering him/her as his father, brother, mother in this world, it is his mistake. Nobody belongs to anybody in this Mrityu Lok.

This is only an inn. As man goes on a journey and takes rest in a different place and comes back to his home and may meet people during his stay; in the same way mother, father, brother, wealth, house all are just the facilities for his stay there. That is why Gyaanee people do not believe in them. Therefore you should not live here in forest leaving your father's kingdom.

You should have your Raaj Tilak done and rule Ayodhyaa which is waiting for you. You had no relation to Dasharath and Dasharath had no relation to you. He was another person for you, and you are another person for him. So please listen to me, parents are only the cause of existence of the living being, because this human being is born only out of the relationship of a man and woman at the right time.

Dasharath has gone wherever he had to go. This is the fate of all beings, so why do you ponder over it so much? And wherever Raajaa has gone, you also have to go there, then why to sacrifice the enjoyment of kingdom. I feel sorry for those Dharm Knowers who believe in Dharm sacrificing everything else. Whatever you said about Shraaddh, so in reference to that: whatever Shraaddh customs are followed here, money is spent without any use in them, because whoever living being is dead, destroyed, how he can eat food given by us; and if anybody can get food fed by others then their Shraaddh is also necessary who travel to foreign country so that they can get food easily. Hey Raam, There is no other Lok except this, therefore please heed our request and rule the kingdom. Your younger brother is trying to please you."

Sarg 109-Raam Replies to Bharat

Hearing Jaabaali's atheist's ideas, Raam said according to Ved - "Whatever you have said for me that, though correct in theory, is not practical. It is like forbidden food which looks good to eat. Whoever does not follow Ved, it means that he has taken the opposite way to Ved, and that is why he is called sinner. He is not respected. Character is the identification of man's holiness, unholiness, bravery, cowardice. Whatever way you have told, by adopting that way an An-Aarya man can also look like an Aarya, or seems like holy in spite of being unholy, or seems like good qualities even with bad qualities. But this is not according to Dharm, and if we accept this way, we will be considered as A-Dharmee.

Intelligent people who know their duties and prohibited actions, they will not consider me a good man. In your way, there is no place for Kaikeyee's promises. Then how can I go to Swarg by taking such path or then whose character I will be following [taking that path]? Because I don't find anybody's character like this in my Vansh. Then I will become selfish, and thus this whole world will be selfish [by following my character], because whatever way a Raajaa adopts, public follows the same.

Only that Sanaatan (eternal) Dharm is correct (Satya or truth) which is kind to all living beings. Therefore Raajaa's form is regarded as Satya. The whole world attempts to get Satya and Rishi and Devtaa are also follower of Satya, because it is good for everybody and through Satya only human being gets Swarg. Who follows lies, people want to be away from him, because they are scared of him. Hey Bharat, Eeshwar (Bhagavaan) lives in Satya, and Satya is the root and Satya is the highest; Jap, Tap, Yagya, Daan, Dharm, Ved all are forms of Satya. Therefore one must speak truth.

Raajaa rules his kingdom and a man takes care of his family. Somebody goes to Narak (hell) and somebody goes to Swarg (heaven). Still tell me why shouldn't I obey my father, because he was truthful and followed  a good behavior. He issued this order only to follow Satya. Therefore I will not leave Satya in spite of greed, Moh (intense love) and A-Gyaan, because I consider myself truthful and a Satya speaker who has taken vow to speak Satya.

Hey Bharat, I have heard from many people that who do not respect their own vow, even Pitar do not accept water from them. I consider Satya as most important and highest. Because many great people have worn Jataa that is why I also wear Jataa. If any Kshatriya Dharm regards A-Dharm, I leave that Kshatriya Dharm. Bharat, all great people are after Satya throughout their life and live with Satya.

Hey Bharat, This kingdom will be good for you. Whatever you have said to me, it is not justified, it is abusive. When I have taken the vow to go to forest in front of my father, then how can I return to Ayodhyaa on your request? And how can I disobey my father's orders too. At that time Maa Kaushalyaa was also happy to hear my vow, therefore I will live in forest only. I will eat my food with cleanliness and feed my Pitar the same produce which grows in forest. I will feel comfort in the troubles of forest and will pass my time in controlling my Indriyaan. I will try to do my duties, because the people who do not do their duties being born on their Karm Bhoomi (land of actions), they go to Narak. Maharshi get Swarg by performing their duty Yagya."

Raam said to Bharat again - "Bharat, Satya, Dharm, bravery, kindness, satisfaction of guest have been regarded as the gates of Swarg by great people. Therefore Braahman follow their Dharm by performing their duties and go to Swarg. O atheist, destroyer of our Sanskaar, Father has appointed you as the King of Ayodhyaa. I abuse him for his this action, because you oppose Sanaatan Dharm. As a criminal is punishable, an atheist is also punishable. Even Braahman who always believe in their Dharm and follow Ahinsaa (non-violence), Satya, Jap, Tap and charity are better than you. Only those are worshipped who believe in Dharm."

Hearing Raam's words Braahman said - "Hey Raam, who is always a theist, can be an atheist also at one time. Bharat became atheist just only to take you back to Ayodhyaa and all have become theist to please you. All goes with time."

Aarya and An-Aarya
Indians are known as the descendents of Aarya. An-Aarya means a non-Aarya.
