Sarg 27-Seetaa Requests Raam to Take Her Along

Seetaa got angry out of love and said - "What is this you are saying? I also feel sad. And it doesn't suit you to say like this, because it is not even worth hearing. Hey Swaamee, All - mother, father, brother, sister bear the results of their own Karm, but Parmeshwar has created only woman (wife) who cooperates with her husband in happiness and in sorrows and gets fortune of her husband. Therefore, if you are going to forest, I will also go to forest with you because I am destined to go to forest. And no mother or father or her soul, or her female friends can be along with her life path neither in this world, nor after death. Husband alone is with her forever. If you are going today, then I will go in front of you clearing your path. Take me with you, for I am sinless.

I have already learned this from my parents, so I don't need to learn anything from you on this topic.   I can walk on uneven paths, I can live in forest. Not thinking of three worlds, but of loyalty to husband I will live in forest happily. When you will protect others living beings in the forest then wouldn't you protect me?

I will not be trouble to you in any way. I will also eat Kand, roots and fruits and live happily there. I will not feel any kind of trouble with you. I will take bath in those ponds and rivers with you. I won't feel anything bad even if I will have lived there for hundreds of years. Clinging to your feet I will live in the forest. I don't want even Swarg without you." In spite of this Raam didn't agree to take Seetaa along with Him

Sarg 28-Raam Discourages Seetaa

Raam started describing the difficulties of forest, because He had the experience of living in forest. Hearing Seetaa broke into tears. Raam again explained - "You are born in a high lineage, you know Dharm. It is better if you follow Dharm staying here only which is acceptable to me also. There are many difficulties in forest, know them from me. Just don't think about going to forest because forest is a very difficult place. You are a woman, and you don't have any experience of living in forest.  I am compelling you not to go to forest considering only your good. And I have never heard of any kind of pleasure in forest.

When the sounds of lions and other wild animals are heard mixed with sweet sounds rivers and waterfalls, they seem more frightful than they are. Wild animals attack on human beings suddenly. There are many rivers which even elephants cannot cross. The paths in forest are very horrific. They are all full of various kinds of sounds of many kinds of birds and animals.

Pathways are covered with grass and creepers and thorns. They are waterless and very difficult to enter. One has to sleep on leaves and grass, eat Kand, roots and fruits instead of good food. Sometimes one has to go hungry for several days. One has to worship Devtaa, Pitar along with observing Brahmcharya (chastity) according to prescribed way. If some guest comes then one has to entertain him also.

One has to do offerings with flowers brought by self at the altar. One has to be satisfied with whatever is available in forest. There are always hunger and fear. It is necessary to take bath three times a day. One has to do Tap sacrificing Kaam and anger. Even wherever there is fear, one has to be bold. Therefore don't even think of going to forest." In spite of hearing so many difficulties Seetaa couldn't change Her mind.
