Sarg 30-Some More News of Raam's Army

Shuk and Saaran said to Raavan - "Hey Raavan, It is very difficult to win Raam's army, and Raam is about to enter Lankaa." Raavan again got scared to hear this, but said outwardly - "Why are you so much worried then? Did Vaanar catch you too?" Shaardool said - "It is impossible to find out anything secretly, because [the army is so huge that] it has covered all paths and it has many huge-bodied Vaanar. When we entered the army, Vibheeshan recognized us, caught us, and gave us a round of his army. Those Vaanar beat us very badly and took us to Raam in unconscious state. Raam kindly got us freed. They have built the bridge by filling the sea with stones, and they have crossed the sea by walking over it. They are now at the gate of Lankaa. Hey Raajan, Either you hand over Seetaa to them before they enter Lankaa, else get ready to fight."

Raavan said the same thing to them too - "Look, I cannot return Seetaa even if all Lok come here together. You tell me that who are the brave Vaanar among that army? And how is their relationship among themselves so that I can decide my action of line for future."

Shaardool said - "They are all sons of Indra, Soorya, Pavan, Chandramaa, Ashwinee Kumaar. And those both princes are the sons of Raajaa Dasharath. They killed Khar etc Raakshas. There is nobody else as mighty as them on Prithvi. His brother Lakshman is so graceful that even Indra cannot face his arrows. Raam has crowned Vibheeshan as the future king of Lankaa. This is all I could find out. Now you do whatever you feel proper."

Sarg 31-Raavan Goes to Seetaa

Now Raavan got worried hearing that Raam was about to enter Lankaa. He ordered his all ministers to gather. They all gathered, Raavan consulted them all, decided his line of action and sent them all back their home. He also went to his palace.

Later he took one Maayaavee Rakshas named Vidujjih and went to Seetaa and said to Her - "Whoever Raam you have loved, Raakshas have killed Him in sleep. When He was coming here, He got very tired and slept sound. Raakshas went there, cut all Vaanar's heads, cut Raam's head with their sword. Lakshman ran away in fear. Now it is better to be mine instead of sacrificing life for Him. If you don't believe me I can show you His head."

Saying thus he kept Raam's head and His arrow in front of Seetaa and said to Her - "This is the same arrow which Raam used on His bow. Now you should accept me because your life's life is gone."

Sarg 32-Raavan's Last Trick

Seeing that Maayaa head and arrow of Raam, Seetaa started crying bitterly. She said insulting Kaikeyee - "Now your  aim is fulfilled when Raam is dead. What bad Raam did to you so that you asked Him to go to forest  wearing Jataa and Sanyaasee's clothes." And She got unconscious. When She gained Her consciousness, She picked the head and started crying again - "Hey Raam, Today I am seeing you in this condition. Vidhaataa has put me in widow's form. I was already sad, and now I am tortured too. Maa Kaushalyaa has become now childless. Surely I have not given any good charity in my previous life that is why I, the wife of the person who fulfils wishes of all, am getting so sad. Hey Raavan, Now you may kill me too so that I can meet my husband. Just do this good work for me."

Seetaa was crying like thus, that a soldier Raakshas came running and said to Raavan - "Prahast has come to see you along with all his ministers. He has come here with some important work, that is why meet him urgently." Raavan left Ashok Vaatikaa immediately to see Prahast. He talked to ministers and knew about Raam's movements.

As Raavan went from Ashok Vaatikaa, those Raam's Maayaa arrow and head also got disappeared. Raavan ordered to gather all of his army but warned them not to tell the reason of this gathering to anybody. The ministers gathered their army and informed Raavan about this.

Sarg 33-Raakshasee Consoles Seetaa

Now there was a Raakshasee named Saramaa, Seetaa's friend, who came to Seetaa seeing Her condition. She was very kind to Seetaa, but otherwise very dutiful to Raavan. She said to Her - "Whatever conversation took place between you and Raavan, I heard it all secretly. I don't fear Raavan. I know the reason also why Raavan has run away from here. It is impossible to fight with Raam and knowing the Raakshas nature this is very impossible for Vaanar also who fight with trees and stones only, because Raam always protected them as Indra protects all Devtaa. and it is just impossible to kill Raam like this.

Hey Seetaa, The killer of enemies cannot be killed Himself. Raavan has cheated you. In fact now your troubles are over and your good days are near. Now you listen to the happy news. Raam has crossed the sea and is staying with His monkey army, on the right side of the sea. I have seen Raam with Lakshman. He is a complete wish in Himself and is safely guarded by His army. The soldier who came here to say only this that 'Raam has come to Lankaa after crossing the sea'. So now Raavan has gone to consult his ministers.

The then they heard the sound of Bheree. Saramaa said - "Hey Seetaa, This is Bheree's sound. Now people are getting ready for war. Elephants are decorated, horses are put in front of the chariots, thousands of warriors are seen on horses carrying their spears and shields. Roads are full of all kinds of armies, happy Raakshas are seen in ready to fight mood. See the shine of their various weapons, see the rush of elephants and horses all around. Now you will get your Raam soon. Raam will show His bravery along with Lakshman and I will see you sitting in the laps of Raam after the enemy has been killed. Your eyes will with the tears of joy at that time. And then there will be no more tears."
