Uddaalak and Shwetaketu-1

1-10
About Panchgavya
Gavyam sumadhuram kinchid doshaghnam krimi kushtanut
Kandoom cha shamayet pittham samyag doshodhare hitam
[Gau Mootra is a little sweet is good for leprosy]

6-2-1 - Creation
Uddaalak said to his son Shwetaketu - "In the beginning, my dear, there was the Being alone - the One without a second. he thought let me become many, let me grow forth (so He created the Universe)."

6-12-1
"Fetch me a fruit of the Nyagrodh tree."
"Here it is, Sir."
"Break it."
"It is broken, Sir."
"What do you see?"
"Some seeds, extremely small."
"Break ,loose one of them."
"Here is one, Sir."
"What do you see?"
"I can hardly see anything."

6-12-2 & 3
The father said - "My dear, The tiny seed, you can hardly see is the subtle essence of the great Nyagrodh tree. You should have trust in this fact. In the same way the Supreme Being is the essence of all things in this Universe. he is the soul in you, and therefore Tat Twam Asi - He you are."

6-13-1 & 2
"Although he is invisible, he is there - Shwetaketu, Put this salt in water and come to me tomorrow."
Shwetaketu did as his father asked him to do.
The next morning, the father asked - "Bring to me the salt you had put in the water."
But the salt could not be found in the water because it has disappeared in the water.
The father said - "Taste different portions of water, the top, the middle, and the bottom and let me know.
The son did so and found all portions tasting salty, then the father said - "Even though you do not see the salt, it is indeed there throughout. In the same way the Supreme being is around although you cannot see Him.

6-13-3
The father continued - "In the same way, son, you cannot see the soul in your body, but truly it is there. The soul is He (God) and we say "Tat Twam Asi", He You Are."

6-14-1
"Imagine my dear, someone, whose home is in Gaandhaar, and he is led away to a deserted place, blindfolded, and is left there. This person could go east, west, north or south and would be helplessly wander around exclaiming he is lost, because he was left there blindfolded."

6-14-2 & 3
Imagine again, that someone with knowledge would help him remove his blindfold and point him in the right direction to Gaandhaar, he would then be reach to Gaandhaar by conferring his path from village to village. Just so does a person who meets a true spiritual teacher, who directs him to the true Destination - realization of his own soul. The Lord lives in every person's body, your soul is He. This is the truth. Wherefore "Tat Twam Asi" - He You Are."
