Why Ved Vyaas had to
employ Ganesh Jee as the scriber of Mahaabhaarat?
MBH, Aadi Parv says that Ved Vyaas Jee
went to Brahmaa Jee and told him that he had written a large Granth and now he
wanted a scriber who could write his Granth. Brahmaa Jee suggested the name of
Ganesh Jee. Ganesh Jee agreed on a condition that he would not stop in between
writing, if he had to stop he would leave his job. Vyaas Jee also put a
condition that he would not write anything without understanding any thing. It
is said that Vyaas' Shlok had so much deep meaning that Ganesh Jee took some
time to understand them and then write the; in the meantime Vyaas was able to
create many Shlok.
Now the
question is
People say that originally Mahaabhaarat was only
Did Vyaas Jee ever have
a wife? Then whose son was Shuk Dev? And how was he born?
We have never heard that Ved Vyaas Jee
ever married, but he had two sons from Vichitraveerya's two wives - Ambikaa and
Ambaalikaa (Dhritraashtra d Paandu respectively) and one son from Ambikaa's maid
- Vidur Jee. But Shuk Dev Jee was also his son. Has anybody read the story of
his birth anywhere?
