There are a few notable famous TV Serials which are good, some for their presentation, some for their dialogs, some for their contents. Everything is not found in everything, but there is no harm in watching them once.

The Search for the Nile (1971)
An adventure serial. Released in UK and USA in Jan 1972. 6 episodes of 60 minutes each. Available on DVD.
