The King Dasharath and his three queens were very happy to get four sons. People of Ayodhyaa were also very happy. But at Raavan's place there were several bad omens. Mandodaree is afraid of those bad omens, but Raavan consoled her. Raavan considers Vishnu nothing in front of him. Shani again laughs at him. When Raavan says to him - "I am not even invincible by Dev, Daanav, Kinnar, Gandharv and Raakshas etc. And no human being can do any harm to me." Shani said - "That human being has been born. Maharshi Vishwaamitra is working on a Mantra which will destroy you."

Raavan called Taadakaa and sent her to Taadakaa Van to disturb Vishwaamitra's Yagya. He called Subaahu and Maareech also. He sent them to Siddhaayatan Parvat to disturb Vishwaamitra's Yagya. Do not eat Vishwaamitra because he has done Gayatri Mantra Siddh, so if somebody harms Gayatri's devotee she protects him and he himself will be destroyed. So they three go to Vishwaamitra's place and try to disturb his Yagya.

Paap can be washed away only in human Yoni. Dev Yoni and other Yoni are only Bhog Yoni, no one can expand his life in those Yoni. In these Yoni he enjoys his Punya and after his Punya are finished he returns to where has come from. In human form the human being sows the seed of Dharm, earns Punya and attains divine Lok of Devtaa; and if he does bad Karm then he is born in very low Yoni like worms and small flies.

All the four bothers grew up and got Guru Deekshaa and went to Guru Aashram. They soon obtained all education and learning.

Meghnaad did many Yagya for Devtaa. Raavan didn't like this, because he was from Raakshas Kul. He said to him - "You can be Jagadeeshwar, but not Eeshwar. Man is higher then Devtaa that is why he should worship only himself. In earlier times Virochan and Indra asked the same question from Brahmaa Jee. Indra doubted Brahmaa's knowledge and Virochan spread only Aatm Poojaa. The same Aatm Poojaa is the main thing for all Daitya and Asur. You should also worship only Rudra Dev or Mahaadev, so you should go to him and he will remove your all doubts.

So Meghnaad started doing Tap for Mahaadev. Mahaadev was very pleased with his Tap and appeared before him. He asked him to ask for any boon. Meghnaaad said - "I am very blessed by your Darshan. I wish to have the weapons." Shiv said - "Take Kaal Chakra, Dharm Chakra and Aindra Chakra, Kaal Paash, Varun Paash, Adrishya Chakra (by which he could disappear in the battle) from me." He gave him two Gadaa which could appear in thousands of Gadaa. He said - "But remember one thing, that when anyone who has lived Brahmchaaree for 12 years, you will forget all these powers. Never ever see any Brahmchaaree in a lonely place even by mistake." And Shiv disappeared.

Meghnaad Becomes Indrajeet
Meghnaad reported his father about his powers and expressed his desire to use those powers. Raavan suggested him to win Indra, gave his his Pushpak Vimaan and sent him to Indra Lok. Meghnaad went to Indra Lok and challenged Indra. he fought with him and tied him and when he wanted to take Indra to Lankaa, Brahmaa Jee intervened and said to Meghnaad - "You have already won Indra. Now you free Indra and ask whatever you wish for from Devtaa, you will get it." At this Meghnaad asked the boon of immortality but Brahmaa Jee said - "This is not possible, because whoever is born on Prithvi, has to die. You may ask some other thing." Meghnaad said - "Then you grant me this boon that when I go to battle, and when I offer Aahuti of Havya in the Yagya, a chariot along with horses should appear and till I am on that chariot, I should not be killed." "So be it." And he freed Indra.

Raam in Gurukul
Vashishth Jee is teaching Yog to the four brothers and other disciples. So does a Brahm forgets his Brahm Roop when he comes in human being form? Prakriti has its own rules and limitations. His soul is clear but when he comes on Prithvi, Guru has to uncover it by Gyaan. What is Yog? "Yog Chitta Vritti Nirodhah" - Yog is the name of removing the Chitaa from all its subjects and center at one place. Yog controls the mind. Mind is the most powerful in this world and the same is the doer of Punya and Paap. What is Punya and Paap? To remove somebody's sorrow and worry, to give him comfort and happiness is Punya. This is Dharm. Opposite to this is Paap.

Doing Punya and Paap the Jeev is involved in birth and death cycle. What is birth and death? When a Jeev takes up a body, that is called birth and it leaves it it is called death. Thus only the body dies, not Jeev.

17-Raam Kills Raakshas

Troubled with these Raakshas Vishwaamitra goes to Dasharath to ask for Raam and Lakshman to protect his Yagya. Dasharath got very worried hearing Vishwaamitra's request and requested him not to take his child to fight with terrible Daitya, but Vishwaamitra said - "I have seen Raam's hidden powers, so you send Him with me." Then he addressed Vashishth Jee to explain everything to the King, which he did. After great efforts, Dasharath got ready to send Raam with him. Lakshman also got ready to go with Him. So Vishwaamitra took both the princes with him.

On the way Raam killed Taadakaa. Vishwaamitra Jee then gave Him many weapons. All came to Vishwaamitra's Aashram. Vishwaamitra Jee started his Yagya. Raam guarded his Yagya. Meanwhile Maareech and Subaahu came to destroy the Yagya. Raam killed Subaahu and shot a headless arrow at Maareech. This arrow threw Maareech 100 Yojan far beyond the sea.

The then King Janak sent an invitation of the Swayamvar of his daughter Seetaa to Vishwaamitra Jee. Vishwaamitra Jee wanted to take Raam and Lakshman to Janak Puree, because he had an old Shiv bow which was to be broken before one has to marry Seetaa. So Vishwaamitra Jee took Raam and Lakshman with him and proceeded towards Janak Puree. Raavan also wanted to participate in that Swayamvar. Mandodaree warned him not to go there, but he did not agree. Vishwaamitra Jee came to Mithilaa Puree with Raam Lakshman seeing Gangaa on the way. King Janak welcomed them and Vishwaamitra Jee blessed him.

Janak Jee told Raam the story of Shiv's bow. Once Satee immolated herself in Daksh's Yagya. Knowing this Shiv got very angry and decided to destroy the whole Tri-Lok saying that, "In whichever world Satee is not there, that world has no right to be there." and saying this he put an arrow on his bow. Then then Brahmaa Jee appeared and said - "Prabhu, You can do anything even with your eye brows, why do you want to use this bow?" and prayed him in several ways. Shiv got pleased by Brahmaa's prayer but he said - "This arrow is very destructive and terrible and once put on the bow, cannot be taken back." Brahmaa Jee suggested him to release it in Antariksh. So he let go that arrow in Antariksh. And he kept that bow with his devotee Raajaa Nimi. Since then that bow was kept with that family.

In Swayamvar many kings tried their luck but nobody could even move it. Raavan also came and saw the image of Shiv in it, and as he was the great Bhakt of Shiv, he just greeted the bow and went away from there. Janak was very sad to see this and said - "If I had known that the Prithvi has been the empty of brave people then I would have not taken such a vow." Hearing this Lakshman got very angry.

18-Raam Marries Seetaa

Raam pacified him. Janak Jee asked his Guru Shataanand Jee how to conclude this Swayamvar. He then suggested that Raam should be called for this, so Raam was ordered to come and remove Janak's grievances. Raam got up and broke the bow and married Seetaa. Raavan came back to Lankaa. When Raavan was going to attend Seetaa's Swayamvar, Mandodaree asked him not to go there as he was not young and he was not invite either, but Raavan still went with the intention that he would marry Seetaa and bring her to Lankaa. So when Raavan came back to Lankaa without Seetaa, Mandodaree asked him why he did not even touch the bow. It was not difficult for you to break the bow? Raavan said - "Yes, But I saw my Isht Dev's image in that bow that is why I did not touch it. I greeted it and came back. If I had even touched it I would have insulted my Isht Dev." Mandodaree said - "You did a right thing. Bhakt, Shishya and Daas are the three categories. Who is at the top?" Raavan said - "He is at the top who acts according to wish of his Isht Dev. Shishya obeys Guru or his master and satisfies him. medium class is he who acts on the order of his masters. And the lowest grade person is he who does not obey his master even after getting his orders. He ignores them.

Shiv appeared before Hanumaan and sent him to Kishkindhaa with his father Kesaree. He will meet Raam there only. So Hanumaan went there with his father and met the king of Kishkindhaa Baali. Baali asked him what is jealousy? Hanumaan said - "Jealousy is the direct representation of Ahankaar." Baali asked - "Who is one's enemy." Hanumaan replied - "Kaam, Krodh, Mad, Matsar are one's greatest enemy." Baali again asked - "Who is Gyaanee?" Hanumaan said - "Who has the knowledge of soul." Baali asked - "What is A-Vivekee and Vivekee?"
