I have taken this from one Indian
Panchaang (Patraa) - some information is known to me while some is not.
The whole creation depends on
Brahmaa Jee. After our 4 Yug pass then only Brahmaa Jee's one day passes. By
this measurement Brahmaa Jee's age is 100 years. [He has not taken Brahmaa's
night, which is of the same length - 1000 4-Yug, into consideration] At this
time (in 2000) Brahmaa Jee is 51 years old, and the first day of his 52nd year
has started.
As Brahmaa Jee's one day is 1000
4-Yug period of solar years. One 4-Yug is of 4,320,000 solar years.
Brahmaa Jee's one day is of 14 Manvantar - (1) Swaayambhuv, (2)
Swaarochish, (3) Uttam, (4) Uttam, (5) Taamas, (6)
Chaakshush - these 6 Manvantar have passed, and now it is the 7th Manvantar -
Vaivaswat Manvantar. In this Manvantar 27 4-Yug have passed and the 4th Yug
(Kali Yug) of the 28th 4-Yug is on - 28th Kali Yug.
Sat Yug
Sat Yug started on Kaarttik Shukla 9, Wednesday. It is 1,728,000 solar years
long. Matsya, Koorm, Varaah and Narasinh Avataar appeared in this Yug. In this
Yug there were "Paap Shoonya Vishwaa" and "Punya 20 Vishwaa".
People were 21 hands (10.5 yards or 31.5 feet) tall and had 100,000 years of age.
Its chief Teerth was Pushkar. In this Yug, 14 such Daitya were born who had the
power to wander in all the three Lok. They were - (1) Vikram, (2) Viddh-vats,
(3) Virochan, (4) Muchukund, (5) Bhairav, (6) Nandak, (7)
Andhak, (8) Hiranyaaksh, (9) Hiranyakashyap, (10) Prahlaad,
(11) Paddhati, (12) Bali, (13) Kapilaasur, (14) Kapilbhadra. People
of this Yug were reading Ved, followers of Truth, and worship Eeshwar. They used
Divine clothes and food. They never paid attention to other women and other's wealth.
Most of the people were able to curse anybody with their power. Women were happy with
only one delivery (child). All cows were like Kaamdhenu. Prithvi was tilled only once
but was sown with seeds several times.
Tretaa Yug
Tretaa Yug started on Vaishaakh Shukla 3, Monday. It is 1,296,000 solar years
long. Vaaman, Parashuraam, and Raam Avataar appeared in this Yug. In this Yug
there were 5 Vishwaa Paap and 15 Vishwaa Punya. People were 14 Haath (7 yards
or 21 feet) tall and had 10,000 years of age. many families had gold pots in
this Yug, but normal people used silver pots. Gold coins were in use. The chief
Teerth of this Yug was Naimish Aranya. In this Yug Soorya Vansh ruled for long
time. Its kings' names are - Manu, Dhoomraaksh, Vyaakushi, Harishchandra,
Rohitaashwa, Sagar, Bhuj, Ashwabhuj, Paarath, Bhgeerath, Dileep, Ragu, Aj,
Dasharath, Raam, Kush, Agnivarn, Meghdyuti. They were able to go to only Indra
Puree. They read Ved, were devotee of Shiv and spoke Truth. They never looked at
other women, abs at other's wealth. Often they had the power of cursing anybody.
Women used to conceive 9 times averagely. Cows gave milk 3 times a day. Once
sowed land produced the crop 7 times.
Dwaapar Yug
Dwaapar Yug started on Maagh Krishn 30, Friday. It is 864,000 solar years long.
Krishn Avataar appeared in this Yug. In this Yug, Paap was 10 Vishwaa and people
used to live for 1,000 years. They used to be 7 Haath (3.5 yards, or 10.5 feet).
They used copper pots and silver coins. Kuru Kshetra was the chief Teerth of
this Yug. In this Chandra Vansh was main and 16 kings of Chandra Vansh ruled -
Vichitraveerya, Paandu, Dhritraashtra, Yudhishthir, Pareekshit, Janamejaya
Vrisharaashi, Yauvanaashwa. People spoke only that much Truth whatevver was
required. Many people were greedy and used to be busy in making profits. Women
used to bear 3 children and cows gave milk two times a day. In this you people
sowed the land once and harvested the crop 5 times.
Kali Yug
kali Yug started on Bhaadrapad Shukla 13, Sunday, at midnight time. It is
432,000 solar years long. In this Yug there are two incarnations of Bhagavaan -
Buddha and Kalki. Buddha Avataar has already appeared, and kalki Avataar is yet
to appear. He will appear when 821 solar years of Kali Yug will remain. He will
appear in Sambhal Graam, District Moraadaabaad, in Vishnu Yash Braahman's house.
By this Avataar He will kill all the evils and establish Dharm again. It is said
about this Yug, that in this Yug, there is 15 Vishwaa Paap and 5 Vishwaa Punya.
people will live for 100 years of age and they will be 3 Haath (1.5 yards or 4.5
feet) tall. People will use mud, iron and plastic pots and use copper, iron,
paper etc coins and money. Gangaa River will be the chief Teerth. When the end
of the Kali Yug will come, Gangaa River will disappear from the Earth. people
will often tell lies, will not do any Tap and women will give birth to several
children together and the land will be lifeless.
