Naag Poojaa

To do Naag Poojaa, you may Paaraayan of the Shree Shesh Stotra on a Dwiteeyaa or Panchamee in Shukla Paksh (bright fortnight after Amaavasyaa). You can recite the Stotra for 3 times, every day. This will help you to solve the problem or will reduce its intensity, to the maximum extent possible. One has to keep in mind that Shraddhaa, belief and devotion are very important. Try to visit a nearby ant-hill or Peepal tree (Ashwatth Vriksh) and perform Pooja to it. If both are present, then an ant hill under a Peepal tree is preferred.

You can start the Pooja on 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th or Poornmaasee.
The days must be either Monday / Wednesday / Thursday / Friday.
The star must be either Aardraa or Aashleshaa.
Even though it is called Dwiteeyaa Pooja, the above Tithis falling on the above days with the above stars are favorable for Naag Poojaa, as per Sarp (Naag) Tantra.

So, it is your interest to start on the day convenient to you, without exceeding the above Muhoort.
There is no any specialty or differentiation in the Dwiteeyaa Poojaa, it is just like Shree Satya Naaraayan Vrat. There the presiding Deity is Vishu or Satya Naaraayan and here, the presiding deity is Naag Devataa. You can have an image, photo or Vigrah of Naag Devataa and you yourself can do the Poojaa.
