Shiv
If your chosen deity is Lord
Shiv in the aspect of destroyer of all obstacles, you can grow white
flowers and place them on an alter for him. By the law of thought
association the white flowers will be put in touch of the snowy peaks of
the Himaalaya, the abode of Lord Shiv.
Bel leaves, Bel fruit,
Dhatooraa, are main to offer to Shiv
Never, never eat anything
already offered to Shiv - so no Prasaad from him
Vishnu
If you chant Hari Om, invoking the
aspect of the Lord as Vishnu, the preserving one, you can use blue flowers.
Tulasee leaves, its Manjaree
(flowers) are the best to offer Him. Vishu does not accept any Naivedya
(food) without Tulasee leaves.
Always take Prasaad of
Vishnu.
Hanumaan
Offer him fruits and Chanaa products (roasted Chanaa, Besan Laddoo, Besan
Barafee, Boondee Laddoo, Besan Boondee) to him and take Prasaad.
Mother
Roses and other colored flowers
may be used as an offering to Divine Mother when you use Ave Maria or Om Tara as
your Mantra.
