11-1-Mukhee Rudraaksh |
11-1-Mukhee Rudraaksh [Taken from Sacred-Objects Group, by Pt Arjun, Jan 30, 2011] The logic is very simple, if you see in X-Ray in 10-Mukhee Rudraaksh there are 10 seeds inside , in 9-Mukhee Rudraaksh there will be nine seeds inside, then why not in 1-Mukhee there will be only one seed inside. Thus they are under-developed Rudraaksh. 1-Mukhee Kaaju (half moon shaped or cashew nut shaped) shaped is actually a Badraaksh, but still this Badraaksh has done at least some benefit to few people, but others do not do anything. There might be 1-Mukh or one
well developed line on the body of the Rudraaksh but there may be another
3 to 4 lines who would have started from the mouth or tail of the bead but
could not convert themselves into a full fledged Mukh. Such Rudraaksh will
contain 4 or 5 or 6 seeds inside once seen through X-Ray, even though they
look like 1-Mukhee Rudraaksh. So beware the fake Rudraaksh. 'Oval Ek-Mukhee Rudraaksh' of the species Elaeocarpus serratus, is normally found in the Dehara Dun and Haridwaar region. These Rudraaksh are therefore popularly known as, Haridwaar or Dehra Dun One Mukhee Rudraaksh. The species produces three Mukhee oval Rudraaksh as a rule. However, very rarely, the same species tree produces best quality One-Mukhi Oval Rudraaksh. In this species many fake One-Mukhi beads are also floating in the market. This type of Rudraaksh shows the following major characteristics - the clefts or Mukhee are well prominent and look different from the Nepal Rudraaksh. The Rudraaksh are also strongly spinose in its ornamentation. The Rudraaksh of this species (whether it is 3- or 1-Mukhi) produces only one seed inside. There are two subtypes in
Haridwaar Ek-Mukhi Oval Rudraaksh - (A) The Rudraaksh under this type
produces one-Mukhee bead with only one prominent cleft or Mukhee and two
additional vertical lines. It other two Mukh are not developed however,
two vertical lines are seen. This type of bead is genuine, however, due to
the presence of other two lines, is not much popular in customers. It is
mistaken as the impression of a tampered bead from 3-Mukhee oval type.
(B) The second type of Rudraaksh shows, only one well developed cleft or
1-Mukhi and no other vertical two lines are seen as in the earlier type of
Rudraaaksh. This type is very rare in its occurrence. It is believed that It is also believed that only a Vairaagee Saadhu was qualified to wear an Ek-Mukhee.
