Mantra for Nine Planets
There are Mantra for each
planet (Graha). The following Stotra contains the nine Mantra for nine
planets and Phal Shruti (Hearing the fruit of listening to this Stotra)
written by Ved Vyaas Jee.
Sun (Soorya/Ravi)

Sun (Soorya-Ravi) I pray to the Sun, the day-maker,
destroyer of all sins, the enemy of darkness, of great brilliance, the
descendent of Kaashyap, the one who shines like the Japaa flower.
Moon (Chandra)
Dadhi-shankh Tushaarabham Ksheeror-daarnava Sambhavam
Namami Shashinaam Somam Shambhor-mukuta-bhooshanam
I pray to the Moon who shines coolly like curds or a white
shell, who arose from the ocean of milk, who has a hare on him, Soma, who
is the ornament of Shiva's hair.
Mars (Kujaa or Angaarak)
Dharanee-garbha-sampootam Vidyut-kaanti Sama-prabham
Kumaaram Shakti-hastam Tam Mangalam Pranamaamyaham (split as
Pranamami aham)
I pray to Mars, born of Earth, who shines with the same
brilliance as lightning, the young man who
carries a spear.
Mercury (Budh)
Priyangu-kalikaa-shyamam Roopenaa-pratimaam-budham
Sowmyam-sowmya Gunopetam Tam Budham Pranamamyaham
I pray to Mercury, dark like the bud of millet, of
unequalled beauty, gentle and agreeable.
Jupiter (Guru)
Devanaam Cha Rishinaam Cha Gurum Kanchana Sannibham
Budhi-bhootam Trilokesham Tam Namaami Brihaspatim
I pray to Jupiter, the teacher of gods and rishis,
intellect incarnate, lord of the three worlds.
Venus (Shukra)
Hima-kunta-mrinaa-laabham Daityaanam-paramam Gurum
Sarva-shaastra Pravaktaaram Bhaargavam Pranamamyaham
I pray to Venus, the utimate preceptor of demons,
promulgator of all learning, he who shines like the
fiber of snow-white jasmine.
Saturn (Shani)
Neelaanjan Samaabhasam Ravi-putram Yama-agrajam
Chhaayaa-maartand Sambhootam Tam Namaami Shanaishwaram
I pray to Saturn, the slow moving, born of Shade and Sun,
the elder brother of Yam, the offspring of Sun, he who has the appearance
of black collyrium.
Raahu
Arth-kaayam Mahaa-veeryam Chandra-aaditya Vimardanam
Sinhikaa-garbha Sambootam Tam Raahum Pranamaamyaham
I pray to Raahu, having half a body, of great bravery, the
eclipser of the Moon and the Sun, born of Sinhikaa.
Ketu
Palaash-pushpa-sankaasham Taarak-graha-mastakam
Raudram-raudratmakam Ghoram tam Ketum Pranamaamyaham
I pray to Ketu, who has the appearance of Palaash flower,
the head of stars and planets, fierce and terrifying.
Iti Vyaas-mukhot-geetam Yah Padet Su-samaahitah
Diva-vaa-yadi-vaa-raatro Vighn-shaantir-bhavishyati
Those who read the song sung by Vyaas, will be joyous,
sovereign and powerful, and will succeed in appeasing obstacles, occurring
by day or by night.
Nara-naaree-nripaanam Cha Bhavet Duhswapn-naashanam
Aishwarya-maatulaam Tesham Aarogyam Pushti-vardhanam
Bad dreams of men, women and kings alike will be destroyed
and they will be endowed with unparalleled riches, good health and
enhancing nourishment.
Graha-nakshatraj Peedaa Taskaraagni-samudbhavaha
Taa-sarvaa-prashamam-yaanti Vyaaso-bhrute-na-sanshayah
All the pain, devastation caused by fire, planets and stars
will be of the past, so spoke Vyaas, emphatically.
Iti Shree-Vyaas virachitam Navagraha stotram sampoornam.
Thus ends the song of praise of the nine planets composed
by Vyaas.

For Soorya or Sun related troubles and during the Dashaa or Antar-dashaa
of the Sun:
1.Worship the ruling deity Lord Shiv
2. Recite Aaditya Hridaya Stotra daily or Gaayatree Mantra daily.
3. Jap of Sun's Mool Mantra: "Om hraam hreem hraum sah sooryaaya namah",
6,000 times in 40 days.
4. Recite the Soorya Stotra:

Tamorim Sarva paapaghnam pranatosmi Divaakaram
5. Charity: Donate wheat, or sugar candy on Sunday.
6. Fasting day: Sundays.
7. Pooja: Rudraabhishek.
8. Rudraaksh: Wear 1-Mukhee or 12-Mukhi Rudraaksh
Chandra
For Chandra or Moon related problems and during the Dashaa or Antar-dashaa
of the Moon:
1. Worship the ruling deity Gauree.
2. Recite Annapoornaa stotram.
3. Jap of Moon's Mool Mantra: Om shraam shreem shraum sah chandraaya namah,
10,000 times in 40 days.
4. Recite the Chandra Stotra:
Dadhi Shankh tushaarabham ksheero darnava sambhavam
Namaami shashinam somam shambhor mukut bhushanam
5. Charity: Donate cow's milk or rice on Monday.
6. Fasting: On Mondays.
7. Poojaa: Devee Poojaa.
8. Rudraaksh: Wear 2-Mukhee Rudraaksh.
Mangal
For Mangal or Mars related problems and during the Dashaa or Antar-dashaa
of Mars:
1. Worship the ruling deities Kaarttikeya and Shiv.
The Kartikeya mantra is "Om Saravana bhavaaya Namah"
The Shiv mantra is "Om Namah Shivaaya"
2. Recite Kaarttikeya or Shiv stotra.
3. Jap of the Mars Mantra: Om kraam kreem kraum sah bhaumaaya namah, 7,000
times in 40 days.
4. Recite the Mangal Stotra:
Dharanee garbha sambhootam vidyut kaanti samaprabham
Kumaaram shakti hastam tam mangalam pranamaamyaham.
5. Charity: Donate Masoor dal (red lentils) on Tuesday.
6. Fasting: On Tuesdays.
7. Poojaa: Kaarttikeya Poojaa or Rudraabhishek.
8. Rudraaksh: Wear a 3-Mukhee Rudraaksh.
Mars is also the remover of debts and the giver of wealth.
The following is a highly recommended Stotra of Mars for this purpose.

Budha
For Budh or Mercury related problems and during his Dashaa and
Antar-dashaa:
1. Worship Lord Vishnu.
2. Recite Vishnu Sahastranaam Stotra.
3. Jap of the Budh Beeja Mantra: Om braam breem braum sah budhaaya namah,
17,000 times in 40 days.
4.Recite the Budh stotra:
Priyangu Kalika Shyaamam Roopen Pratimam Budham
Saumyam Saumya gunopetam tam Budham Pranamaamyaham.
5. Charity: Donate Urad Daal on Wednesday.
6. Fasting: On Wednesdays.
7. Pooja: Vishnu Poojaa.
8. Wear a 10-Mukhee Rudraaksh.
Guru
For Guru or Jupiter related problems and during the Dashaa or Antar-dashaa
of Guru:
1. Worship Lord Shiv.
2. Recite Shree Rudram.
3. Jap of the Guru Beej Mantra: Om jhraam jhreem jraum sah gurave namah,
16,000 times in 40 days.
4. Recite the Guru Stotra:
Devaanaam cha rishinaam cha Gurum kaanchan
Sannibhaam Buddhi bhutam Trilokesham tam namaami Brihaspatim.
5. Donate: Saffron or turmeric or sugar on Thursday.
6. Fasting: On Thursdays.
7. Pooja: Rudraabhishek.
8. Wear a 5-Mukhee Rudraaksh.
Shukra
For Shukra or Venus related problems and during the Dashaa or Antar-dashaa
of Venus:
1. Worship Devi.
2. Recite Shree Sooktam or Devi Stuti or Durgaa Chaaleesaa.
3. Jap of Shukra Beej Mantra: Om draam dreem draum sah shukraaya namah,
20,000 times in 40 days.
4. Recite the Shukra Stotra:
Hima kunda mrinalaabham daityanam paramam gurum
Sarv shastra pravaktaram bhargavem pranamaamyaham
5. Donate clothes or dairy cream or curd to a lady on Friday.
6. Fasting: On Fridays.
7. Pooja: Devi Poojaa.
8. Wear a 9-Mukhee Rudraaksh.
Shani
For Shani or Saturn related problems and during the Dashaa or Antar-dashaa
of Shani:
1. Worship Lord Hanuman.
2. Recite Hanuman Chaaleesaa or any other Hanuman Stotra.
3. Jap of Shani Mantra: Om praam preem praum sah shanaischaraaya namah,
19,000 times in 40 days.
4. Recite the Shani Stotra:
Nelaanjan samaabhaasam raviputram yamaagrajam
Chaaayaa maartand sambhootam tam namaami shanaishcharam
5. Donate a buffalo or black Til (sesame seeds) on Saturday.
6. Fasting on Saturdays.
7. Poojaa: Hanuman Poojaa
8. Wear a 14-Mukhee Rudraaksh.
For all Saturn related troubles Dasharath Shani Stotra is of an excellent
remedy.
Raahu
For Rahu related problems and during the Dashaa or Antar-dashaa of Raahu:
1. Worship Bhairav or Lord Shiv.
2. Recite the Kaal Bhairav Ashtakam.
3. Jap of the Raahu Beej Mantra: Om bhraam bhreem bhraum sah raahave namah,
18,000 times in 40 days.
4. Recite the Raahu Stotra:
Ardha Kaayam mahaa veryam chandraaditya vimardanam
Sinhikaa garbh sambhootam tam raahum pranamaamyaham.
5. Donate: Urad dal or coconut on Saturday.
6. Fasting on Saturdays.
7. Poojaa: Bhairav or Shiv or Chandee Poojaa.
8. Wear An 8-Mukhee Rudraaksh.
9. One of the best remedies for Raahu is reciting the first chapter of
Durgaa Sapt Shatee.
Ketu
For Ketu related problems and during the Dashaa or Antar-dashaa of Ketu:
1. Worship Lord Ganesh.
2. Recite Ganesh Dwaadash Naam Stotra.
3. Jap of the Ketu Beej Mantra: Om shraam shreem shraum sah ketave namah,
7,000 times in 40 days.
4. Recite the Ketu stotra:
Palaash pushp sankaasham taarak graha mastakam
Raudram raudratmakam ghoram tam ketum Pranamamyaham.
5. Donate: A black cow or black mustard seeds on Thursday.
6. Fasting: On Thursdays.
7. Pooja: Ganesh Poojaa.
8. Wear a 9-Mukhi Rudraaksh.
9. A very good remedy for Ketu is the reciting of Shiv Panchaksharee
Stotra.
