1-Origin |
1-Origin of Astrology The ratio is 3:2 between the longest and the shortest day of the year This ratio is interesting since it points out to the origin of astrology in around 35 degree latitude region, which means that neither the places like Ur, Babil, Nippur etc in Iraq, nor any places in India - south of Kashmeer etc can be considered as possible places where astrology has been originated. BMAC cultural complex and countries like Afghaanistaan, Tajikistaan, Turkmenistaan etc have a higher chance for being the origin place of astrology, than the other brief possibilities like Upper Kashmeer region of India (Sindhu-Saraswatee culture), northern most Iraan, etc. Please note that the 35 deg marker line passes through Kashmeer (Upper most part of India), Afghaanistaan, Northern Iraan and Iraaq. The longitude and latitude of some famous historical places are listed below. As you could see none of these places satisfies the above condition, except places like Tehraan.
“Tehran historically was known as Ray which is etymologically connected to the Old Persian and Avesta Rhaga. This city was a major area of the Iraanian speaking Medes and Achaemenids. In the Zoroastrian Avesta, Widewdat, i, 15, Ragha is mentioned as the 12th sacred place created by Ahura-Mazda. In the Old Persian inscriptions (Behistun 2, 10–18), Ragha appears as a province. From Ragha, Darius the Great sent reinforcements to his father Wishtaspa when the latter was putting down the rebellion in Parthia (Behistun 3, 1–10). Damaavand mountain located near the city also appears in the Shaahnaamaa as the place where Freydun bounds the dragon-fiend Zahak. Damaavand is important in the Persian mythological and legendary events. Kayoomar, the Zoroastrian prototype of human beings and the first king in the Shahnama, was said to have resided in Damaavand. In these legends, the foundation of the city of Damaavand was attributed to him. Arash, the archer who sacrificed his body by giving all his strength to the arrow that demarcated Iran and Turan; shot his arrow from Mount Damaavand. This Persian legend was celebrated every year in the Tiregan festival." Please note the underlined
line which sates that Darius the great sent reinforcements to his father
from Rhaga (Tehraan); Nineveh is the place where the Royal library of the
Iranian king Ashurbanipal was located from where many of the ancient (Uruk
and Babylonian texts) such as EAE and Mul. Apin got excavated and collected.
Interestingly the first chart we have in this Babylonian horoscopes collection
is also from Achaemenid King Darius (II) regional year BC 411. Thus it might be
that the origin of natal horoscopy is equally or more connected to Iranian
Avestan tradition (i.e. Indo-Aryan) as well. Kerala Astrology has 400,00 (4 lakh) verses in Thriskanda Jyothisastra, Ganitha, Samhita and Hora, yet some fools say KSAM algorithms are Greek algorithms.
