Why do humans are called Maanav or Manushya?
To continue with the process of creation, Brahmaa gave birth to a man and a woman from his own body. The man was named Swaayambhuv Manu and the woman was named Shataroopaa. Humans are descended from Manu. That is why they are known as Maanav or Manushya.

As per Ved Shaastra how many types of mothers are there?
There are seven types of mothers. (1) Mother who gave birth. (2) Mother who brought up. (3) Wife of Guru - Guru Maataa. (4) Wife of king (5) Wife of a Braahman.  (6) Bhoo Maataa. (7) Any woman who breastfeeds the child - Dhaaya or Dhaatree in Hindi.

There was a demon with an elephant head, his name was Gajmukhaasur. He got similar appearance a Shree Ganesh, but being demon he was troubling all. Vishnu killed him. [some say that he had a boon that he should be killed by a person who had similar appearance to him, so Ganesh Jee killed him.]

Is Saraswatee the daughter of Shiv? What is Vasant Panchamee?
Saraswatee, the goddess of wisdom, art and music is the daughter of Lord Shiv and Durgaa. Initially it was River Saraswatee and later we started personifying her. There are several references of both of these in Puraan. The color yellow is given special importance on Vasant Panchamee. On this day, Saraswatee is dressed in yellow garments and worshipped. The great Indian Guru Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya laid the foundations of the world-class academic institution of Kashi Hindu Vishwa Vidyalaya on Vasant Panchamee. As a practice, children start their education on this day, schools are established this day. Only educated people and men of principle worship goddess Saraswatee for spiritual enlightenment. In their opinion, there can be no comparison between the king and the learned or the spiritually advanced. The king is honored within his kingdom, whereas the learned is respected or worshipped throughout the world.
[Surprisingly there is no reference of this in any Puraan]

Why does Vishnu call the Saam Ved the best of all the Ved?
Saam Ved is the Stuti (prayer) portion of Ved. It sings the praises of Devtaa. This could be the reason that it is liked by the Lord. Krishn says in Geetaa that "I am Saam Ved" among all Ved.

Why Kaaliya Naag was living inside Yamunaa's water, while Naag are not the water animals?
In earlier times Garud Jee had to get a Sarp as a gift from Naag every month. So the Naag decided that they would give this gift under a certain tree. According to the rule all Sarp gave their share to Garud Jee for their safety on every Amaavasyaa (New Moon) day.

Among them Kadroo's son Kaaliya Naag was very proud of his might. He did not give his own share, rather who gave their share, he used to eat their share too. At this Garud Jee got very angry and he attacked him with a great force with the intention of killing him. When Kaaliya saw Garud Jee coming towards him, he spread all his 101 heads and counterattacked him to give a bite and he did bite Garud Jee. Taarkshya's son (Garud) is also Vishnu's ride so he was also very mighty. So he attacked on Kaaliya with his wings and wounded him. Then Kaaliya came to this pond of Yamunaa. This pond was not accessible to Garud, besides it was very deep and even others could also not go there. Why? Once, hungry Garud ate a fish at this place, in spite of prohibiting by Saubhari Rishi. All fishes got sad on the death of their chief. Maharshi Saubhari pitied on them and he gave Shaap to Garud that if he will come to this pond to eat fish he will lose his life. Nobody else knew about this Shaap except Kaaliya Naag, that is why he used to live here with the fear of Garud. Now Krishn had sent him back to Ramanak Dweep to live fearlessly there.

[Bhaagvat Puraan, 3/10]

Bindu Sar Teerth
Bindu Sar Teerth is famous because it contains the water of Bhagavaan's tears itself. These tears came out of His eyes seeing the Tapasyaa of Swaayambhuv Manu when he did this to get children. Later, when he had married one of his daughters, Devahooti to Kardam Muni, Kardam Muni asked Devahooti to take bath in the same Sarovar. After the bath she became very beautiful and then Kardam Muni passed a long time with her on a special airplane.

Why the Three Devtaa Were Born to Atri Rishi as His Sons?
When Brahmaa Jee ordered Atri Muni to produce children, then he went to Riksh named Parvat to do Tap with his wife. At that time he stood on one leg for 100 years. He prayed that Eeshwar should give him children like Himself. Pleased with his Tap, the three Dev, Brahmaa, Vishnu and Mahesh came to his Aashram. Since all the three Dev were there, Muni's heart got alighted with their glow. He greeted them prostrating in front of them them and worshipped them saying - "I greet you. Tell me who are you among yourselves to whom I called, because I meditated only one Bhagavaan for getting children? They how come that you three appeared before me? Tell me the secret of your coming here."

Devtaa said - "Hey Braahman, Whatever you think it has to be true, so it should happen like that only. Of which Jagadeeshwar you were meditating on, He is we three. You will have three sons born from our part and all will be world famous." After giving this Var the three went to their Lok. So Chandramaa was born from Brahmaa's part, Dataatreya was born from Vishnu's part and Durvaasaa was born from Shankar's part.

Shree Hari gave him this status after he had tasted he Amrit after Samudra Manthan.

Do Sun and Moon rule over the other planets?
Just as Indra rules over the Gods, the Sun rules over the planets and the Moon rules over the Nakshatra (stars) and the herbs. But all of these revolve around Dhruv Taaraa (the Pole Star). Ling Puraan, chapter 6 has a reference to this.

Bhagavaan was born to the same couple three times, who was the couple and which were those Avataar?
Bhagavaan told this to Vasudev and Devakee Himself when He appeared in the prison as their eighth son - Krishn.
(1) Bhagavaan was born to Sutapaa Prajaapati and his wife Prishni when they were first time born in Swaayambhuv Manvantar. When Brahmaa Jee ordered you to produce children then you controlled your Indriyaan and did very austere Tap for 12,000 divine years. When I appeared pleased with your Tap and asked you to ask for any Var, you expressed your desire to have a son like me. By that time you were not involved in worldly pleasures and you did not have any child, and because of my Maayaa you did not ask for Moksh. Later I was born in your house as Prishnigarbh.
(2) In their second life you were born as Aditi and Vasudev was born as Kashyap Jee. At that time also I was born to you, and my name was Upendra (Vaaman Avataar). Because I was very short, so people used to call me Vaaman also.
(3) Devakee, In this life also I am born as your son. You asked the Var to have a son like me, and there was nobody like me. So when somebody cannot give the said thing to somebody, then he should give three times more of that.

At the same time she is as good as having no children.
