When Hari has gone to sleep then he should take up this Vrat for four months - till Kaartik Poornimaa. He should sleep on floor. During this period, there is no establishment of temple, no Yagya, no marriages or any auspicious Karm. When Soorya Dev is in Mithun Raashi (Gemini) then make Madhusoodan sleep and when Soorya Dev is in Tualaa Raashi (Libra) one should wake Him up. If Adhik Maas falls in between, establish Vishnu's 4-armed idol with Peetaambar. Keep it on a clean bed. Bathe it with Panchaamrit, apply sandalwood paste, offer flowers and take up the vow in front of Him. Whoever takes up whichever Vrat, I tell you the fruit of those Vrat.
