(3) Panchmukhaa Kavach
Hanumaan has a Panchamukhaa Kavach also.
This Panchmukh Kavach is addressed to this fierce form of Hanuman. It does
not seem to be a Stotra in the normal sense of the word. It gives large amount
of Taantrik Mantra aimed at protection. Some people believe that this Stotra
should not be recited but used only to worship the five faced Hanumaan. It is
written at the end of the Stotra that it was taught by Raam to Seetaa as per
Her request. But the first few lines show that this is a version which was
taught by Garud, where he mentions that it was created by the Lord of Lords.
