6-Ganesh Jee Wins the Race-1
A similar version of such race in   another context;    in Race-3

Paarvatee had another son named Kaarttikeya or Shanmukh. Both Ganesh and Kaarttikeya started growing. When they had grown enough Shiv and Paarvatee thought to marry them. So one day they said to their sons - "You go and take a round of the Earth. We shall celebrate the marriage first of that who completes the round first.

Shanmukh wanted to win the race so he started on his ride, the peacock, at once at a great speed. But the huge bellied Ganesh Jee found the task quite difficult as he had only a mouse to go around. At last he got an idea. He immediately went, took bath and circumambulated his parents seven times with great devotion and affection. He bowed to them.

Shiv Jee and Paarvatee Jee got very surprised at his behavior. They looked at each other, blessed him and asked - "Ganesh, What are you doing here? Won't you start your journey?" Ganesh Jee was very intelligent, he said - "All the worlds are within you two, Father. The Ved and Puraan are the authority for this. When I have circumambulated you both, I have already gone round the world, so I have won and Shanmukh has lost."

Shiv Jee and Paarvatee Jee got very happy to hear this that their son was so intelligent. They married him to Buddhi and Siddhi, the two daughters of Vishwabrahmaa (or Vishwakarmaa?).

It is said that Ganesh Jee has two sons from them - Kshem and Laabh.
