1. Disease in the abdomen/stomach
Abdomen is a broad region comprising many organs including liver, spleen, pancreas,
intestines and kidney whereas stomach is one organ. Jathakahbaranam and Mahesh talk
about "colicky pain" in the abdomen. Bhavakutuhalam, Phaladeepika, Chamatkar
Chintamani, Brihad Yavan Jatak and Sundarasekaram talk about diseases in the abdomen
or stomach. Shambhu Hora Prakasaka goes on to say the native will have "abdominal
tumors" and аhelminthiasis (worm infestation), this is something to be noted.
It should be remembered that not all tumors cause cancer. In the discussion of body parts
pertaining to diseases, Raahu signifies abdomen according to classics. Overall, the native
having abdominal disease is more likely.
2. Children
This is one of the big significations of the 5th house we deal with The
presence of children, their number cannot be determined by a planet-house
combination as there are plenty other modifiable factors such as 5th Lord,
significator, nature of sign, strength of planets, aspecting and conjoining
planets, association , sex of planets and signs etc etc Nevertheless, some
thumb rules can be deduced from classical authors.

classics state them in different ways - some state there wont be any children, Some
state delay in childbirth, a few state abortion, according to some the children will
be destroyed and all are correct in their own respects going by the basic principle.
Raahu in the 5th House is considered to be Dosh for children due to serpent curse
(Bhrigu). Raahu represents serpents. According to modern BPHS, If Raahu is in the
5th House and is aspected by mars, there is no (male?) issue secondary to "Sarp
Shaap Yog".
Classics concur on the point, there will be no delay in childbirth in
Aries, Taurus or cancer happen to be 5th house. It indicates ,The converse
of this is in other signs there can be delay!!! in obtaining children. It
is important to remember Rahu is strong in houses аAries, Taurus, Cancer,
Aquarius and scorpio(per phaladeepika) . As far as rishis are concerned,
Bhrigu rishi says that if remedies are performed for naga dosha ,the
native will аhave children. Garg says that Raahu in Leo and cancer will
give children and in other Raashi, no child and according to Yavan school.
Vashishth says children will be destroyed.
Interesting points to be checked are --
(A) Bahu-putra Yog - Raahu in 5th, but not in Saturn's Navaansh - many
children (could be more than one in current context) will be present.
(B) If Raahu is with Moon (Moon is an important planet when it comes to
children and childbirth) in the same Raashi, he is childless. If not, he
will have one child.
3.Worship
This has least coverage in the discussion of classical authors. Per
Saravali if Raahu is in 5th, he will worship evil spirits. If it is
associated with a benefic, he will worship Kaalee.
4. Intelligence
Raahu is known to give sharp intelligence according to couple of authors;
while others say "it will give slow intelligence and illusion. According
to some, the native will have a crooked mind.

5. Character of children
Since the 5th House is considered to the Lagna for the children by basic
principle, a malefic in it would indicate the children may not have good
character. The native will have children who are wicked. Some indicate

Shambu Hora Prakaashak, children will have harm due to things related to
microbes, fire, air, stone, log (of wood), girl, water or mountains.
